Is there any advantage of N4 over N3? Should I even install it now? Or should I keep N3 until I can't use it anymore?
As of now, I don't see much use in N4 over N3. Allegedly N4 needs more processing power. I can do without that.

I'm a happy user of N3. As support for N3 will be dropped in the foreseeable future, I bit the bullet and got myself N4 at a discount to be on the safe side for future projects.

maybe install besides N3 to get used to it?
and test around a little how it works, what is new, maybe compare same libs in N3 and N4 if there is a sound difference.
so when you start to use it at one point, you will be familiar with it.
