Just popped Sand on the master fader, engaged MixB and ComC (insane mode of course), turned to settings I usually use, and pressed play...

Since it was requested and someone said the plug-in is cpu hungry (ok the mixrate will solve a lot of things), we decided to release ALSO the bus compressor as STANDALONE virtual rack plugin FOR FREE TO SAND CUSTOMERS.

The plugin will be as much hungry as tan more or less (due to limited routing)

I also think the sidechain is essential. Not to be contradictory, but I would vote for filter A section from SAND - I'm loving those filters and that will keep it hardware-esque IMHO.

SC filter in 2412 is too complex and eats more CPU

I salute the idea of releasing the compressor only. It was the most logical next step IMO.

But I must join the chorus and request the inclusion of the HP sc filter. It is essential to this particular compressor. It's the only way to make it justice, really.

it we start adding things we'll be in the same position as sand. Sand works in all our tests pretty good even without range controls or sidechains. It is insanely good, it never breaks, it pumps only at high gr. It glues. If you really need a filter you need the whole strip.

About the strip: we'll reduce the cpu load a bit. I cannot promise anything but something will be achieved. At the moment in order to avoid issues with audio quality we disabled a tech inside sand which improves performances a bit.
