Pearl's GUI
Re: Pearl's GUI
Thank you guys so very much for the new skins. It is greatly appreciated. These look significantly better overall than the first versions. They don't appear blown out bright and it greatly helps the legibility of the font. Overly-bright graphics always have a tendency to look "cheap", especially blurry ones.
I couldn't care less what language it's in. What matters is the clarity and readability of the thing in the bigger picture.
The meter labels on the channel strip do need to be switched, but the effort you all have put into listening to us is tremendous and respectfully acknowledged.
In light of this topic, it would be very cool if you included a gui feedback thread for future products before finalizing the designs. That way those of us who care about these things can state our concerns before the releases (everyone else can safely ignore the thread). It would be a great way to have collective improvements made before things are finalized. Kind of like a beta testing for the graphics.
The idea should not be to dictate or sway your vision for each product, but rather to help make each one the strongest it can be, even if it's just a matter of clarifying readability or bringing down a distracting reflection. It would be an awesome way to get your customers involved, which is also something not many other developers are doing.

Re: Pearl's GUI
I'm on a similar system, and they all work just fine.
Did you just drop the new SKINS into your Acustica VST folder ? Right where the other N2S files are ?

Same here, plugins requesting authorisation.
Put old ones back for time being. Some parameter or other being changed in the coding?
Just saying though,if I had to use this EQ blind, it would be used a lot. Thanks.

Yes Rj , i first saved the Italian ones in another folder ( outside of original ) then add the new ones , they don't request for auts but i can't do anything , sliders stay down , preamp stay greyed etc.. back to normal with italianskins ...RJHollins wrote:I'm on a similar system, and they all work just fine.

Re: Pearl's GUI
hmmm ... the 2 SKINS have different names, so shouldn't have to move any out. Possibly the original skin ties into Authorization.

you maybe removed the original plugin n2s file, which is necessary to get the plugin running. move it back in and put the skin beside it.
then edit the xml to point to the skin.

Re: Pearl's GUI
here is the official explanation from francesco, seems there is no xml editing necessary:
"In order to use them just copy the PEARL2COMP_SKIN.N2S inside the same folder of your PEARL2COMP.N2S file"

Re: Pearl's GUI
But I think you need to rename it if you are using the trial.
Re: Pearl's GUI
Thanks , I'll try that today , just adding the new ones ...
EDIT : Works fine now , Just adding the new skins while keeping original ones does the trick
Thanks !

Re: Pearl's GUI
Hey, what is going on here? Pearl2 was supposed to be a special event for an anniversary of a great enterprise, celebrating sound and technology, happy customers, happy developers, happy everybody! Sweet cookies raining from the sky and beautiful unicorns dancing on the rainbow!
Can we please return to this? Reading the gearslutz thread makes me depressed about this new (old) US/GB centric language nationalism. Come on guys, learn five words! Everybody else can do it.
OK, I try to say it in your language:
Learning can help you bigly! It boosts your brains! Make your brains great again!
(Ok, just joking, go on with things. Cookies and unicorns for everybody!)
