Ivory IAE-2 (Eq bundle)
We are delighted to launch our new mastering gem, Ivory IAE-2, as a result of the transition of our Acqua technology to the Core6 Engine.
From now on, you will find the perfect balance between sound and performance, improvement in latency and cpu usage without compromise in sound quality.
New Core6 performance: From the first measurements the EQ Acustica Audio IAE-2, that can be compared in terms of CPU load, to the Amber EQ (same numbers of bands), goes from a latency of 8000 samples and a CPU load of 14% to a latency of 2000 samples and a CPU load of 5%. Its performance was measured on a PC with these characteristics: OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 - CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz - RAM: 8,00 GB - Using Reaper v4.77 (x86).
Ivory IAE-2 will be issued in bundle containing two versions: Mastering and Standard. The Mastering version is based on a more precise Q control at the expense of a slower band loading time.
With IAE-2 you can enjoy the same acqua sound quality with four times smaller latency and four times faster processing
OPERATION
Input & Output knobs control plug-in input and output gain.
The PRE-IN button enables (lamp ON) or bypasses (lamp OFF) the preamp stage of Ivory Eq.
BYPASS button sets to bypass the plug-in (lamp ON) ) or not-bypasses (lamp OFF)
Input Trim: This knob sets the input level from -24dB to +24dB, and is used to control the signal level inside the eq, the output level is than automatically compensated by the same amount of gain. At the first execution of the plug-in, input is set to ensure that you feed an appropriate level from the first stage of your signal path to the final one.
INPUT – OUTPUT VU METER measure the input (upper meter) and output (lower meter) levels of the plug-in.
Each band is controlled independently by an identical set of controls; sections are Low Frequency 1, Low Frequency 2, High Frequency 1 and High Frequency 2, each section has controls for:
Q
Frequency
Cut/Boost
Parametric Bands/Q: available value for Q are: shelf, 4, 6, 9, 14 and 20 (although these vary depending on gain and bandwidth selection).
Frequencies:
Here the list of available frequencies for each band:
Low Frequency 1 (Hz): 19, 22, 26, 31, 37, 43, 51, 60, 71, 84, 98, 114, 134, 158, 185, 218, 258, 305, 364, 435, 540;

Cut/Boost (dB):
Cut/boost values range from -8dB to 8dB.

Very exciting, GUI looks sharp, nice elephant!fabio.migliorati wrote:New Core6 performance: From the first measurements the EQ Acustica Audio IAE-2, belonging to the same computational complexity class as Acustica Audio Amber, goes from a latency of 8000 samples and a CPU load of 14% to a latency of 2000 samples and a CPU load of 5%. ..
Can we expect the same CPU hit / PD in the corresponding environment for Mac ?

Re: Ivory IAE - 2
Is Ivory going to be a series of products, with this first one being an EQ? I'm asking this based on the graphic, stating that this is "The EQ", like there may be "The Compressor" coming as well.
Re: Ivory IAE - 2
Compromise? Like stereo only, not separate L/R?
Anything else? Just curious.

Re: Ivory IAE - 2
yes, on mac osx we have the same performances. And as you can see from latest nebula 1.3.903 and acquas (just released trinity, amber, we are going to update everything else) mac osx now is fast, stable.... the same as windows now.
Re: Ivory IAE - 2
Spotted a GUI BOO BOO on the HF2 knobHigh Frequency 2 (Hz): 665, 787, 937, 1k1, 1k3, 1k5, 1k8, 2k2, 2k6, 3k0, 3k6, 4k2, 5k0, 5k9, 7k0, 8k2, 9k7, 12k, 14k, 19k, 27k;

It shows 665, 937, 862, 1k1 ...
Numbers and Order different.

Re: Ivory IAE - 2
will Magenta,Amber and Green be updated to core 6 before this gets released?
Re: Ivory IAE - 2
no. They are "candidate" for the upgrade, but timeframe is still undefined
In my mind I hope 2nd quarter 2015. The upgrade has a developement cost/betatesting
We are upgrading everything to 1.3.903 though. It means faster and more reliable

OK G - I believe you...I was referring to this quote from the store:
"From now on, you can enjoy the beauty of our sound at a fair compromise."
I didn't know what that meant?
EDIT: Thanks G - I see what you mean below.

Re: Ivory IAE - 2
ah sorry I did not understand. There is an explanation about how faster it goes compared with previous tech on the same pagekylen wrote:OK G - I believe you...I was referring to this quote from the store:

Compromise between sound and performances.
Sound = the same as before if not better
Performances = better
So it is a BETTER compromise compared with prev products

By Candidate do you mean they might not even be upgraded?giancarlo wrote:no. They are "candidate" for the upgrade, but timeframe is still undefined

Re: Ivory IAE - 2
there is a massive update on ALL products right now
Candidate means: same performance boost as ivory
