Hi,
Just compared Magenta 5 and 4 with the same settings on a piano solo track.
While M4 completely opens the sound with that sense that piano "speaks", meaning that sound becomes emotion, M5 with the same settings completely flattens all that magic. I don't have this articulation and clarity in the lows and mids are muddy.
I tried to tweak the settings in M5; no way to get that same result.
I put here two samples for you guys to tell me your feeling.
I would like to understand. M5 is supposed to be with less artefacts and closer to the hardware unit...
Thanks for all your advices.
Francois

hmm there is indeed a difference in the 1.9 khz range frequency wise, and noticable a transient difference.
at what sample-rate are these examples made?

Ya ur right. There is less depth and smoothness in m5.
Hmm something maybe the devs should see. Ya sample rate question is important tho. What were they?
