protectionDB is a tag that you'll find in the magenta XML file. Just open it with the ole text editor and copy the <PROTECTIONDB> tag you'll find there.flipnaut wrote:if it is just so easy... why don't you fix it and give us the silk eQ3?
Btw.: I see inside of the magenta folder only N2V files and above only such as .aut and .ser files. So there is no protectionDB file which i could copy...

Re: Silk eQ2
everything is so easy but we are running out of time if we go random.
We are sorting releases: for example we need to test the new acqua engine, provide au64 and so on

Re: Silk eQ2
if it still does not help, nothing will fix it.
New amber and magenta are based on a preamp stage, on a different structure. They are strip channels, not eq featuring harmonic distortion

Re: Silk eQ2
I have the hardware. I can do pretty much anything you want, But eq's drive characteristics can change with different eq settings so I don't think it's a bad idea in some cases doing harmonics all in one, It should be case by case.
I'll do a expriment
I can also change the gain staging inside the preset, this would probably solve the problem
Originally I requested a In and out....

Re: Silk eQ2
Hi Tim,
If you say you can make changes to SilkEQ ... would it be feasible to change the GAIN to 1/2 or 1/4 dB resolution ?

I can do a interpolation version but what you get on the software is the same as hardware

Understood.Tim Petherick wrote:I can do a interpolation version but what you get on the software is the same as hardware
hm ... 'interpolated'

I know interpolated FREQ is fraught with issue, and I avoid them. But if GAIN [+/-] would come up to your high standards ... that would be great.

Re: Silk eQ2
Cool, will there be a Core6 Version of Silk?

Re: Silk eQ2
no, because it is not compatible for an upgrade!
Only products after magenta are good candidates

Hi Giancarlo,
Thansk for the answer.
Does this mean there will be a Core6 Update for Magenta also or only all products that came out after Magenta?

Re: Silk eQ2
we can update: magenta, amber, green.
We'll do it. We'll be slow though: it was not planned on them, so it is a miracle we are planning it now. We'll do just because they are awesome products, and this update makes everything more awesome.
Green is still waiting for the new frequencies (btw there were several damaged samples, but if some of you needs it we can provide a sort of preview) so I think we'll release them togheter with the update.

Yes please keep updating all possible acquas! I remember you said somewhere that they are the perfect investment and only get better in the future... I think a lot of us bought acquas now knowing that there are going to be a lot of improvements! Btw, the news about core6 are awesome!!! Sounds like a dream come true to be able to use nebula quality plugs just like normal ones!
