i was wondering if someone can tell me in short words how to
change skins on Aqua Plugins? Like in the case of Pearl.

in the case of pearl, you just place the skinfile in the same place where the plugin dll, xml, n2s files are. the name has to match.
with coral, there was a xml-tweak, to get the skin-file recognized (also placed beside the pluginfiles like above). there are different coloroptions for coral, so it's several files you can point to, to choose your color.

If either of you guys got the re-skining working, I would love to hire you to help me get a few of the aqua plugins re-skinned. Basically I want to desaturate a lot of the plugins as the bright colors are distracting and feel less like the 'Death Star' look I am trying to build in my studio.
