Hi guys,
Let's use this brand new web site for a few questions : What is exactly Acquavox? What kind of gear was sampled? Any manual (PDF) for it?
I probably could find the answers in the old forum but let's see how quick we can get an answer here...
Great work AlexB and Vinz!
Eric

well, in the acquavox page there is a little description about it (which device was emulated, but we are not affiliated with the hardware developer, maybe we'll even remove that description from there).
There is no user manual around, anyway the xml file could be tuned using the same tip&tricks used for nebula (for example DSPBUFFER, just to name one of them).
Controls are just a gain in, gain out, a drive and the liquidity knob. Nominal level and headroom is -18dB, like all alexb libraries.
Beauty of acqua plugins, you could upgrade them easily just replacing the DLL with the new one. Plug-in data is just the little N2S file. So if you need to move or install the plug elsewhere you could just copy those 3 files

Thank you Giancarlo for the quick reply and the information about Acquavox and acqua plugs in general!

it still sounds REALLY nasty when you put a hot signal into it - i get a low freq distortion that doesnt sound cool or intended. Anyone else had this experience?

As Giancarlo mentionned earlier, the AlexB libs and this Acqua powered Acquavox have a nominal level of -18 db. Make sure you're not hitting it with much louder RMS levels and you'll be fine.
