Q: How to install 3rd party Skins?
A: There are 2 folders provided. One is Properties and the other is Skins.
Go to your N4 folder. Copy the files in the Properties and paste it in the N4 Properties folder (XML files). Do the same for the Skins, copy the files and paste to the N4 Skins folder (N2S files).

Yeah, that what I always do, but have you done that with this release? Here doesn't work.

Instructions says that you need to edit Nebula.dll and Nebula.xml, and I don't have any Nebula.dll

Well, I was confused by the instructions and had pasted the two .xml files on Setups folder, not Properties. My mistake.

But now I have all of them on the right place and still nothing. The compressor seems to be working perfectly, however.

On Properties folder I have now:
flucti-pass-skin.xml
flucti-skin.xml

On Skins folder:
FLUCTI- MEW PASS THRU.N2S
FLUCTI- MEW.N2S

Anything else?

are you looking at the pdf i made for skin installation? there are two completely separate sections, labelled Nebula 4 and Nebula 3. you should only be looking at the Nebula 4 section which is only one paragraph.
the only files in the skin zip you should be using are the ones in the nebula 4 folder. if you followed those instructions it should work. anyone else having a problem here?

So, it turned out that I had downloaded only the N3 version. Mr. Cupwise emailed me with the right link for N4.

Now it's all good. I can appreciate this library in all it's glory.

I see only normal skin with knobs on that bottom left part.

yes the switches are only for the N3 skin. that ability (to have buttons that switch programs without resetting controls) is something i pressed G to put in the skin a few years back. unfortunately it's not in the n4 skin language though so jpn can't put it in the n4 skin.
