AlexB V2 comp
AlexB V2 comp
Does anybody know if AlexB plans to release V2 versions of comps (Fenix, OTD, MWD,...) ?
The current versions sound good, but I lack the real comp behaviour without artifacts.
Just lookin' forward.
All the best.

Re: AlexB V2 comp
I'm waiting for the EQs, have half of them. The white compressor would be cool, steinbergs vst of it is freakingly expensive btw.
Re: AlexB V2 comp
I have planned to upgrade all libraries at the highest audio quality BUT at the moment only the 5% of the customers has made the update to the new V2 releases, this doesn't even cover the costs to the internet connection...
Re: AlexB V2 comp
I for one am waiting on the v2 upgrades for the things I bought.. I think a lot of people with earlier releases are eargerly waiting for v2 upgrades, so you'll get some extra income if you charge the 5% upgrade cost.
I think I would be happy even rebuying VBC, 73EQ and CLC again if they would have a V2 release

hmm ... I admit I seem to have overlooked any news about your V2 versions. Will check now.AlexB wrote:I have planned to upgrade all libraries at the highest audio quality BUT at the moment only the 5% of the customers has made the update to the new V2 releases, this doesn't even cover the costs to the internet connection...
EDIT: Alex, it seems I have 9 or 10 of your libraries but for none of them exists a V2 release. Perhaps your probe was too small for good conclusions?

Re: AlexB V2 comp
I have had the pleasure of purchasing most every library that AlexB has created. Beside the sonic quality ... I very much like the way the libraries are organized, along with the functionality.
Without doubt, each of the V2 releases are mandatory [IMO] to get. The quality bar has been raised to a whole new level ... AND ... Alex is providing 2 major sample rates, 44.1 & 96k with this upgrade.
These are 1st class releases. If you hadn't already, at least check out the demos provided ... but then, be prepared ... you will want them

This is incredible, it´s only 5€, what happen to the people??
Re: AlexB V2 comp
+1 on this one. I very much prefer how Alex organize his libraries compared to some others actually. Very easy to understand.RJHollins wrote:I have had the pleasure of purchasing most every library that AlexB has created. Beside the sonic quality ... I have gotten myself Satson and probably aint gonna upgrade the CLC (the CLC sounds good, but satson is zero-latency and barely use any CPU and is as good sounding, this means I can leave this plug on even when tracking).
Though I would like an upgrade of the Portico, Neev and Ey-pi and the Portico-compressor (!! I am very curious about this one, it is said that it can sound like a less aggressive 1176)
Re: AlexB V2 comp
I'm waiting to see what happens with Neb 4. & there's no concrete date for that.
I would guess most are more interested in 'all in one' Acqua type plugins anyway.
IMO that should be the new version going forward.

Re: AlexB V2 comp
Best nebula libraries, these new ones combined with cdsoundmaster tapes, la2a and some others can provide you best sound itb so far... New consoles and eqs by alex are unbelivable quality, pure hardware!!!!! You only have to plug a console master channel in your DAW and the sound gets a dimension... an IT factor that you can´t get rid of
Re: AlexB V2 comp
As nice/groundbreaking as the Acqua format is ... there are plenty of applications to use Nebula ... particularly 'consoles'.
Based on ones preferred signal flow, the various console presets are located at different points in the global 'flow'. They can be first AND last in the chain. This is not practical, nor most effective for the Acqua format, yet simple for Nebula.
How this will change considering the next generation Nebula is yet to be known [to us mere mortals].
Today, with the aid of Zab's 'Nebula SetUps' app, we can have dedicated Nebulas, custom configured to include any user preferred configuration.
Without doubt, multi band EQ's all contained in a single Acqua interface is a workflow we are most familiar with from the algo world. The combination of Acqua and Nebula allows for vast possibilities.
It's fine to get caught up in all the Acqua excitement. For good reason. They are an excellent compliment to the Nebula design.
Of the new AlexB version 2 release ... they are simply .... stunning
I will not hesitate a moment to purchase every v2 release.

Re: AlexB V2 comp
The thing apparently is Alex, a lot of users are willing to pay the $5 upgrade (or more) for V2-upgrades (specially after using the new V2 libraries like the MF eq / dynamics) but they aren't here yet for most of the users.
How many v2 upgrades did you do now? MTC has a v2 upgrade as well as MPeQ2.. and that's it right? (not complaining, just making sure I'm not missing anything). You have the VMeQ2 but is that an upgrade or a completely new library? (stupid me, the name should suggest it's an upgrade).
I guess a lot of people are hoping / waiting for upgrades for the PTeQ, CLeQ, 73eq, VBC, CLC... 4Kd, FNX (drooooool) and the other olden-goldies from you
. I know I am
. Like I said, I would happily pay more than $5 for an upgrade, (or even pay again for them)..
So please don't look at upgrade-sales right now while you've only done a few of your presets. I think your 'popular' stuff is yet to be done. I didn't buy MF-console for instance because I'm still happy with using the old VBC / CBC (and your Sidecar for the 1081's
). Now if there wasn't going to be a CLCv2, I Would buy MFC instantly
