Re: Acustica releases Cream - a dreamware approach to console modelling!

About true stereo: if you ask to me the effect is completely absent on this kind of console. Crosstalk was measured and neglegible. Crosstalk is the only element which could bring something of channel L to channel R, for instance. It was something in the -100dB ballpark. So in this case true stereo...

Re: Acustica releases Cream - a dreamware approach to console modelling!

yes they are unique. We didn't advertise it very much (similar to what an other developer did), but we have unique channels. The point, our ones are sampled and not based on a random variation on components. We are modeling a real object, channel after channel. Indeed! However, where this "other de...

Re: Updated Blu-mu v2 100a v3!!!

Not sure how it works in Nebula but in the algorithmic world you need to apply a "hold" feature that insures that the release happens exactly at the desired point. Otherwise the release cycle will happen with look-a-head as well, meaning it happens "too early". This can cause additional inharmonic d...

Re: Cobalt is out! Pre-order (20%OFF)

@Avgatzeblouz: It is exactly what Lime or Sand etc does, the only difference being you get the inline eq too on Cobalt (by having two eqs). Dynamic eq is traditionally a tool that offers multiple eq bands with dynamic control per band, thus acting both as eq and compressor. As I said, to me Cobalt ...

Re: Cobalt is out! Pre-order (20%OFF)

It's more like a glorified sc compressor, not a dynamic eq. The name is kinda confusing. The new thing compared to previous 'strips' is that it has two eqs, thus offering more flexibility. Sorry if this was answered already, NO. You are wrong. It is indeed a fully fledged dynamic EQ. The "gain redu...

Re: My Coolest Idea for a Library

Robert Babicz, aka Rob Acid, did actually cut the Sintefex FX8000 test tone to vinyl and sampled it. Works surprisingly well (I have the program and of course a Sintefex FX8000). However, having said that, vinyl is definitely not at all a magic bullet. I can't emphasize enough how big of a differen...

Re: Favorite Nebula 1176 Compressor

I've never found any of AlexB's compressor to be at all accurate. I never purchase them for accuracy's sake. I treat them as completely unique pieces of gear instead. For instance the N54 and N64 programs are completely inaccurate. Not even in the same ballpark compression wise as the real deal (yes...

Re: AlexB: Morpheus Compressor (MATRIX)

Anybody know the Attack and Release ranges for the full program? I kind of like the demo but the slow release makes it a bit difficult to work with on some material without using aggressive HighPass settings for the detector.

Re: Echo bug (incorrect term, it is not a bug)

Verdict: there is no Acqua and Nebula compressor programs that can handle low freq material at this point. We hope Core 9 can do it. This is simply not true. There are a large number of problematic compressor libraries though. Several AlexB libraries have massive low-bass buildup (reasons why this ...

Re: AITB - the"BIG N" sound - buy FATE BUNDLE at a special p

I don't understand these updates. What was updated? I still have the original Snap, Fate EQ and Compressor programs (the ones before you went the challenge/response route.. which never really worked properly). I also do not see any upgrade option? I don't see any special price even though I own all ...
