Re: Echo bug (incorrect term, it is not a bug)
G I just saw this topic - I posted about this with Honey (one of my favorites)...It has this problem when boosting bass. I made an example - did you guys fix that one?

Re: Newest Generation of Algoirithmic Eqs
yes there is a new generation of algo EQ - and they are still shite...
I like a good clean algo EQ for cut detailed filtering with a freq analyser (pro Q or Live 9 EQ8), but for adding character and power just use Acustica EQ to make a nice mix

Re: Aquamarine
completely different to Titanium although shares the same technology... Aquamarine is more versatile to me. Can be used on many sources - you have an Opto and a VCA compressor along with subtle tone enhancement, blend and high pass filter. Titanium is a great full mix processor but its an opto and m...

Re: Aquamarine
Just for the fun of it, I did a video-capture on some DnB in the works here, starring UAD S*L G Comp and Aquamarine :P https://vimeo.com/119944332 . really nice track...for me Aquamarine is definitely nicer 8-) I can hear the sound bigger and punch retained/enhanced...maybe the compression amount i...
Re: Blue eQ
Blue EQ is one of the few processors that can make a soft synth analogue emulation sound 'more' analogue and convincing...(this is after me trying everything)...its very rare a plugin can make a ITB sound real analogue (usually its more 'plugin analogue')... I did some comparisons with U-He Diva vs ...

Re: Nebula = past!?! Future = Aqua?
cool. For sure I look fwd to Nebula 4 because I would love to create my own multi band EQ using my favorite different programs...or perhaps a tasty dual compressor using 2 Tim P comps in series etc...

Re: Aquamarine
Yes, I can appreciate that it can be used during a mix of course, but that is not the "target audience" for this compressor. The mastering engineer is the target audience (target being the operative word here). not sure - the SHMC is actually quite coloured - maybe too much for mastering (this is w...

So Steve what do you think, any favorites? Or do you find them all to be useful for you?

But in this example my fave are Magenta and Green.

Re: Green, Magenta, Amber Equalizers
Thanks for this. I really like your comparison. You should post it also on Gearslutz. It shows how different these EQs can be and why there is a point in having even more and more EQ models in the Acqua world. thanks! It is already posted on GS https://www.gearslutz.com/board/gear-shoot-outs-sound-...
