my small request during fine-tuning ...

please go easy on the highlighting, glares, shadows.

I know it can make for a dynamic/realistic look ... but it's such a distraction from the main focus on the audio material... that's all.

go easy on it. 8-)

So just to rub it in a little....imagine you went to sleep tonight and woke up to find Scarlet looked like this:

http://klontz.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/u ... ng-eq.html

Notice the matt knobs? Notice that?

See how they don't call attention to themselves? NOTICE THAT?

See HOW SUBTLE and UNOBTRUSIVE they look?

SEE THAT?

What a beautiful crafting tool. Its something you use.

Now look at Scarlet3. It USES YOU!

Your picture is about an ancient device. Today they are seriously different!
Seriously! To be honest the knob is exactly, and I mean exactly the one used in scarlet3. Exactly. Scarlet has a constraint about sizes, we cannot do it bigger. But seriously the knob is exactly like scarlet 3. You could buy it too, you find it in the market

There is no frontal light at all
Look at the yellow reflection. Look at the glare in the mirror. You have an idea about reflections you would have with a frontal light lol
We have pictures of it in normal lightning, they are exactly like scarlet3. But I mean exactly. We cannot decide lights since lights are fixed in nebula 4 skins. We keep the same light for a coherent product when you build the rack

Guys, knobs and reflections are exactly like in scarlet3. I will not discuss it!
I posted the picture so you have an idea about the material.
We cannot move our change lights in nebula 4, end of the talk!
We have frontal views with normal light, I used the device for a week, i know exactly how it looks like!
Now focus on the knob and you'll see how much is different nowdays
Remind to me for the normal picture ahah

Giancarlo, you did something crazy impulsive and took a photo. In doing that you got something right. That photo is telling you something Giancarlo. It is speaking to you. It is saying "I am the way Giancarlo! Follow me!"

Follow the photo Giancarlo. Follow the photo.

Lol, this is not a sontec, but an homebrew product.
It is ok to use a knob, but there is a little sense the modification of other elements. It is an "invented" unit, it should never look like a sontec!
But speaking about knobs, today they have way more reflections, so your pictures are not in line with the product, which should appear like a new one.
Said that, I love scarlet3 with this own identity. Don't forget this is NOT sampled from a sontec! The device was home-built. So much freedom on the gui, let's go for the jewellery!!!!

Ok for the moment let's stop.
We'll be back on the topic, remind to me.

Resist the bling Giancarlo. This is a mastering tool. You use a tool. It should not distract you from the thing you are using it for.

Imagine you were a carpenter. Would you buy a jewel encrusted hammer? No you wouldn't. If you tried to hammer a nail in with it, it would glint and sparkle in the sunlight and blind you! You would miss the nail and hit your thumb! Not to mention how silly you would look with a jewel encrusted hammer.

And what would you think of someone who was trying to sell you a bright blingy shiny jewel encrusted hammer? You would think they were nutty wouldn't you Giancarlo?

Buy some jewelery for your wife instead Giancarlo. Keep the tools plain and usable. Dear Giancarlo.

Aaw Giancarlo!

Just for the record Giancarlo just deleted a beautiful picture he snapped of a certain device on the previous page and it didn't have any gaudy bling or flashy distracting highlights. It was beautiful!

edit: and the pointers were all a lovely subdued red. ;)
edit 2: I mean scarlet.

I understand perfectly what you mean.
It will not stop this scarlet3 release.
You can decide to install or not install it! Seriously you have scarlet2 perfectly working!
This product, like all ones, need a single thing: my satisfaction.
I'm investing my time, my health, my money on what I'm doing.
I'm acustica user number 1. And I want that exact product in my wave editor.
Time will tell you if I was right or not! But I would but be Giancarlo if I was following your request without being convinced about this action.
I don't know how to communicate it properly, but if I was not sure I would not discuss it so a long. I prefer to change things more than arguing.
But this time is different. I love scarlet3 and I simply want it that way.
Scarlet3 will be released even if there was the whole Facebook community asking for a modification. I could change my idea only for money. On my bank account lol! Much money!!! Ahahah
No way.
