Even this has been a massive improvement - I can start using the low end irresponsibly now, like the unit wants me to. :D

ok.
This is REALLY insane. We improved Ruby quite a lot, adding an HIGH QUALITY version (RUBY HQ) directly in aquarius.
We improved core12 quite a bit, looking for a new way for fading out samples, in a way they are perfect and not trucated in any way. And this is the second news: dw fearn vt5 features really long kernels/impulse responses, so we were forced to play a tail of 1 second!!! the quality is insane, and we are very excited about this release. So it glues music in a very special way, so much close to the hardware now because we removed all issues created by noise and wrong fades.
The HQ version is a bit more cpu intensive, and is highly suggested for masters and difficult tracks (where you have a lot of low frequency content). It can manage EVERYTHING, as you can see from following pictures:

original ruby echo

ruby high quality (ruby hq)

Version in aquarius: K
Note: ruby is backward compatible with the previous version. Use RUBY HQ for getting the high quality version.

this release is INSANE. I cannot believe how good it is. For the first time I think we are achieving a sort of perfection. Possibly there is a margin for improving it further, but it will be more and more invisible..

I'm not sure exactly how you guys did this HQ version, but NOW Ruby really shines!
THIS is the recipe for mastering devices. Kudos AA!

Btw. Trim works as expected here.
