SansAmp sampling - more harmonics!

Post by soundsgood » Wed Apr 26, 2017 10:46 pm

My idea is to capture a series of useful sansamp settings and make them available to other Neb users.

I've tried various templates to capture my Sansamp PSA1.
It sounds accurate eq wise but the sample isn't as harmonically rich as the unit itself.

The best template I've found so far is (offline) Dist software 20k AHD smooth 2.
Any ideas or template suggestions to squeeze more harmonics out of this unit?

just get a sansamp... in my opinion real distortion against plugins is different. I did not find yet a plugin which can sound the same as a big muff on guitar.

Only thing i would use in a plugin is light saturation.
Studio One on Intel i7 4790k.
Aquas i like are: Lime, Gold, Pink2412, Amethyst2, Honey

Agreed - and I have a sansamp.

I'm attempting to capture that to use ITB so I can have more than just one hardware device.
And the capture is working quite well but I'd like a little more distortion
.
So, any ideas?

Nebula is capable only a certain amount of distortion . So I assume that you are looking for a kind of distortion which is not possible yet. Maybe in future.

How about separating the distortion presets and pasting them multiple times in a row? Could this bring you closer to the original sound?
