Here, with Sonic|Core Scope Pro, I never experienced any spike since one year. I can attest, instead, only the frustrating forementioned limit of around 20 Nebula instances in Cubase Pro + Windows.

BTW good to know that you're solving that crash issue :)

you are plain wrong if you think it is a matter of quality control. There is no quality control in the world able to prevent a crash. All software in the world could crash. Yes there is a myth about the fact that software should never crash, but it is a myth. Even applications used for aerospace crash, and they loose billions. They crash after millions of hours of "quality control", there are rockets simply exploding before reaching several miles and they were "quality checked" by nasa. Software crashes, and bad crashes could led to problems.

I could argue with that...tempting!!! but we've (forum members)done this before "then we rinse and repeat and it just goes on". we've cursed you in the past and no doubt we'll do it again in the future.

I wont be buying Gold...cause I spent all my money on my 50th birthday last week and I need to pay my rent... then buy Diamond... then gold  You frustrate me but I love ya

Damn Addictive Tech got me on lock

**UPDATE**

Gold channel-strip rel D available

Bugs fixed:

-Internal saturation of the plug-in no longer exceeds +3 dB
-We based the engine on a different algorithm, from now we used an hard-clipper.

-For WIN users, we didn't more replicated "jump volume" issue.
-For OSX users, the problem is also under investigation, we are working on it and we'll solve it in few weeks

For the moment we suggest you to activate the plug-in when the DAW is in "pause".

New version is compatible with old session BUT if you use old session the "output knob" probably will be reversed.

We provided to all GOLD customers an alternative skin with "new input meter" (dBFS to dBu) in GOLD folder.

More info as soon as possible.

Should I uninstall the previous Gold version (C) before install this new one?

Just downloaded and installed the new update (release D)

1) Pots don't respond to mouse wheel (Trial works in this regard)
2) Pots under mouse pointer very clumsy, better as they were in the trial
3) The new skin - much better meters!

Conclusion - new update (release D) is not ergonomically friendly pot-wise as yet for me in Samplitude ProX3 Win7

Fabio are you planning to fix the cumulative low-mid drop (as shown by Kamui76 at page 26) in a future release?

About the Metallic Noise-Bursts with Gold PRE when adjusting the input-Trim:

I just submitted this video to support which shows how the metallic sounds happen with Gold PRE: https://youtu.be/VW49hTZU7Nw
(sorry about the bad soundquality have to look into better Screen-Capturing-Programs)

Are some of you experiencing the same?

There's no need to increase the input-Trim like this when gainstaging to -18VU with VUMT, but if someone does it accidentally or on purpose just to hear what the PREs are doing, these sounds should not happen. With Coral, Sand or Lime PRE this only happens when you're entering the PRE with no Headroom at 0 dB and then you crank up the Input-Trim. So in my case like never.

Hope this helps to solve the problem.

Cheers, Stefan

PS: Just downloaded and tested the new version of the Gold-Strip and the aweful Noise-Burst when engaging the Compressor is now removed!!! Thank you Acustica for solving this problem so quickly!!!

PPS: I'm testing on a MacBook Pro Late 2013, 16GB RAM, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 with Mac OSX 10.11.6 and Ableton Live 9.7.2 running and always testing both VST- and AU-Versions

I noticed that the channel strip contains less harmonic distortion than the individual vst format... Any one else?

Does the individuals vst work more precisely than the channel strip?

The Pre standalone also hosts 6 additional tube preamps (the red buttons) if you use those too there is of course a difference as the channel strip does not offer these. The rest should be the same.

yes. Also mac osx improved a lot, at least we cannot reproduce any more the loud burst. Anyway I'm not happy and we are still working on it: the noise is possible if you load the plugin while the audio is running. Basically we are narrowing the problem but I can say now it will be solved, because I'm sure it is 100% our fault.
