Very Nebula-heavy radio rock tune (mastered by Plec)

Post by Ermz » Wed Nov 03, 2010 7:11 am

Hey guys,

This is the most Nebula-intensive mix I ever did. The whole thing is processed with CLC-PRO. Also in use is the Mammoth for boosting high end on certain busses, CLQ also boosting highs here and there, and finally in mastering Plec used an R2R Studer program and the new GMC. I also used the TB+ pack for saturation, but that was taken off at the end in favor of more traditional 'loudening' methods.

Cheers!
Ermin.

Hehe don't know who called this "radio rock tune" but it sounds good. Very Breaking-Benjamin-like.
Something in the sound is a bit too old-school for my taste - I'd guess it's the N*****n-console. But it still does a great job. Dense stuff, still easy on the ears. Good job !

I think it's more how Ermz put together the mix that makes it sound old school and mainly the R2R programs in combination with all the other Nebula stuff going on. The N*****n console has a character but has the least old school character of all the other awesome programs used I think, haha. :D

I didn't realize it sounded old-school at all! That definitely wasn't the intent, haha. Guess there's still room to experiment and see just how much of these saturation programs should be used.

Thanks a lot for listening.

Great sound and it does not sound too Old school to my ears if anything its refreshing to listen to something that has not be digitally destroyed and stills has some life in it.

Wow! It sounds great - very detailed, rich, and with the Nebula depth thing definitely going on. I really like this tune.

Wow one of the best mixes I've heard using Nebula. So much energy :D

I agree, very pleasant on the ears.
