Vintage reggae using nebula...again

Post by trickster » Fri Aug 13, 2010 7:15 am

Thought I'd share some more recent old school reggae vibrations created with all manner of nebula programs as the glue.

Unfortunately I can't post flash code here so here is a link to the set on soundcloud.

Cheers Milosh. Yeah, I should have said in my first post that they're just instrumental at the moment. I've got a collaboration with a swedish singer who's voicing one of them at the moment (she liked the track called Brand New Tenement). They're really just sketches that I'm trying develop in collaboration with other artists.

So these are quite nice sketches :)
Vocals will open some possibilities in arrangement work.
Some dub tricks would be nice too, especially fun with muting/soloing individual tracks for couple bars :)

cheers

Hi trickster, I'm interested in checking out your tracks but I do not see a link. Can you post the link again?

Here's a test mix with vocals of one of the tracks.

Sounds FAT!

Very nicely done. Did you record/play any of the instruments yourself, or are they all 3rd party samples? It's a good mix job regardless, but just curious.

Thanks. The guitar and bass are played in direct. The piano, organ, drums are sample libraries. The software is a new software singing program called Betty the Babe (just kidding :P ...although it might make things way easier if it were true)

Finally picked up R2R - gives the tape sound without over processing which is nice :)...this is turning into evolution of a track stuff - here is the soundcloud link:
