Hi guys! I would like to share Julia's new original music video with you! I will change of computer in my studio soon and I will be able to use more of Acqua & Nebula in my next projects. My computer has been rushing lately! It's time to improve! We had the chance to upgrade our video setup to a 4K resolution workflow and we are really happy with the result. YouTube destroy the quality a bit but it could be worst! Thanks for watching! :)

Great stuff. What’s your recording and mixing chain for the last video? I’m particularly interested in how you mixed the vox and piano.

Thanks a lot! :) The way I work now is to "Pre-Mix" my tracks using Navy2 invidually. Then I use the plugins from S****x on each track just to drop the undesirable frequencies. I use at least 3 S****x oxford supresser on the vocals to "tame" some frequencies without cutting them too much. I almost never boost any frequencies. We use a Shure SM7B for the vocals. It's a really basic setup to be honnest. Julia's vocals are crystal clean. :)

This is our new original music video using those techniques. I started mixing on Focal Alpha 80 and it makes such a difference! I love them! Wonderful speakers! I also bought the Relab SonSig Rev-A Reverb and I LOVE IT! Such a nice dreamy reverb! So smooth! Thanks for watching! :)

Hey guys! :) Julia just released her new original song "Awaken" from her new album of the same name. We filmed this video in the beautiful Théatre Granada here in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. Such a wonderful place!

Here is the video: https://youtu.be/MfEgrM16SzU

By the way, I'm in the process of switching of computer. The PC I use right now is a 10 years old. I look forward to run a lot more acqua plugins on the new one!

New original song by Julia Westlin! I really love this one! Mixing this project was also a lot of fun! We did go back to record with the Shure SM7B. For some reasons, the sound of the Earthworks SR314 is more harsh to our ears. The SM7B is more warm sounding. I used many Navy2 during the mixing and Diamond3 during Mastering. I look forward to use my new computer to be able to use more Acqua plugins and N4 librairies. We would also like to wish everyone and happy new year 2020, full of love and music projects! Once again, we are looking forward to hear your feedback on this new song from Julia! Thanks a lot!

Hey guys!! :D I upgraded my 10 years old PC to a brand new one! More power equal more possibilities to mix with Acustica Audio plugins! :D I am still in the process of learning many of them, but I LOVE THEM so much!!! It brings something more organic that I could never find with other plugins. Julia and I just finished a new original music production in time for Valentine's Day. I have been using Gold3, Taupe, Lemon, Diamond, Ruby2, N4. I look forward to use them more and more. Here is the new song! Please feel free to share your feedback as I always look forward to improve my skills! Take care!

Hey guys! :D Happy Friday! We just released a new original music video from Julia Westlin. I feel really happy and proud of the result as we are only 2 persons working on her music videos. I used Acustica plugins like never before on this one and oooohhh that I am addicted even more to their plugins. I love Ruby2 on the bus of each group. So easy to "shape" the sound. It becomes a lot easier to mix too. I hope you will like this new song. Please feel free to share your thoughts! :D Thanks a lot!

Hi Guys! :)

I hope that you are feeling great despite this "storm" that is happening everywhere right now. It is more time than ever to produce music in our safe environment. Julia and I just released a new music video called "Believe". I really like the vibe of this one and we feel happy with the video as well. I hope you enjoy this dose of positivity from us.

Hey guys!

Hope everyone from this forum is feeling healthy and safe during this crisis. Julia and I just released a new music video on YouTube! The title is "In Another World". It was quite a challenge to shoot the video as it is filmed in one long sequence only. We are really happy with the result! After reading a tip that I saw on Facebook, I tried to use Taupe on every single channel. It became easy to mix everything together. A bit of Ruby2 on each buss group. Some Gold3 on a few tracks. Please feel free to give us your feedback, they are always welcome! :D Please continue to stay safe and my prayers for the rest of this crisis! Big hug from us!
