i think sand will be the tool to upgrade aquas... while aqua stand for water/ocean... sand stands for land/ground. Makes sence. No water without sand and no sound without water... the water is the music and the sand is the border around the water.

hmm... then you will name nebula 4 = sand?

Sand is so strong as a word for the brand. i can not believe that it is only a compressor :D

I've been thinking long and hard about the photo, and it's cryptic meaning, and I've come to the conclusion it's thermthingy vulture cultthingy like thingy? I am right? :D

That would be an instant buy for me without question and no need to demo. That's an aspect of the Nebula/Acqua technology that has been out of reach I believe, so if AA has developed the ability to add that type of distortion, it would huge. I have Decapitator, and it is a great plugin, but something is just missing with that offering. I have the classic Transcendent Music library based on that unit as well, and I use it often still.

I'm always inspired and amazed at what AA has already put forward and I end up buying just about everything that comes out without regard if I really need it or not (the concept of "need" is subjective anyway).

from the other topic
there is really a lot to say this time.
Basically we just started alphatesting for the eq (which was already ported to core8, it was a very huge task). They are 2 of the best consoles around, one of them completely recapped. They are insanely well serviced.
Even if the eq is stepped, there are so many positions that it acts like a continous one. The new engine is also a lot more fluid on the gui side.

Today we completed the two compressors, so I think we'll go in betatesting on next week for the eq and on alphatesting. Product is expected to be launched around the end of september - if everything goes fine. On our side we have both nebula programs (for the exceptions of those two little filters) and the gui completed (last things will be rendered this weekend), so it is time for speaking about it on forums.

What makes it special: this is the first acustica product with a very good routing. It features also rom presets (so there will be several presets, like for example a de-esser). Also meters are a real challenge: there is an insane amount of frames, so you can read gr reductions of around 0.2 dB. We'll have also a better gr reduction calculation.

The compressors alone are worth the price. They are really good bus compressors, with proper bidirectional shmod, dry/wet. You can route a filter, or a sidechained equalizer to the compressor! so it is rather versatile: a super strip channel, or a super bus compressor, or a de-esser, or whatever.

Ok, so sand, is mostly silica, a source of silicon, which is the substrate of most solid state logic devices. Did I win? :D
