I hope we didn't forget anything
What about this ?
there is a bug in the 7236

Logic 10.2.3
OSX 10.11.5

Load a stereo instance of 7236 (or 7236TZL)

the default setting has all 3 knees set to SFT.

Now select MED for all 3 bands.

Now try to select SFT again in the middle band.

The low band changes from MED to SFT when you select SFT in the middle band.
The middle band will not go back to SFT.

Just downloaded Pink 7236, version 1.4.066. Assume this the latest updated trial.

Still problems:

1. I cannot see any improvement in the Make-up gain bug. Increasing the make-up gain still increases the gain reduction. There is no way you can accurately tell how much gain reduction you are setting.

2. The output meters in each band do not react correctly to me applying make up gain. I cannot match the input unless I turn the make-up gain knobs to something like 9db, which cannot be right. At the moment there is no point in having the meters.

Have to say though, that the thing still sounds superb. As a mastering multi-band compressor it just lifts the whole mix to another level. Compared it to the FabFilter Pro MB, which I love and it is quite a bit better. More lifelike and alive.

However, these are annoying bugs that take the gloss off a great product.

Is this a known issue?
I use Reaper and can not reproduce this at all.

In Reaper (for me), the GR meters jump when I apply make-up gain, but the almost instantly go back to their proper readings.
The meters in regards to make-up gain also work properly for me. Definitely submit a ticket, I am not having any of the issues reported in this thread.

I am wondering if Frogy re-inserts the plguin cause it remains the same behavior when it was saved with previous version in the project even the plugin is updated.

Froggy ... are you loading in a previous session that had 7236 ? Or are you doing a NEW insert fx ?

reason: looking at possible 'back-ward' compatibility being suspect.

Let me see if they already uploaded the latest version also here.
Betatesters (yellow) are using latest one. A new mac osx was in alphatesting yesterday. 066 should be the correct one for 7236; 067 will be the correct one for 2412.
The makeup gain was fixed in that version, I'm pretty sure.
A little thing: only new instances are fixed ones, test in a new session.
If the trouble persists open a ticket

I confirm, all versions are updated.

Changelog
- makeup gain reduced to +24dB in 7236
- gr meter fixed in both 7236 and 2412
- output and input meter extended in both 7236 and 2412
- auto release fixed in both plug-ins

If you still experience issues, try to verify if they persist in empty songs, then open a ticket

Amazing AA
the 2412 is there for me now , those sc envelopes nailed all of those funny attack/release issues neb comps had... captures and releases transients is a really music way, the release on a punchy kick or snare is so fast

RJ, many thanks. Yes, this was the problem. My fault, sorry. Sounds amazing.

Both single + multiband versions are probably the pinnacle of compression in the software-realm right now. Can't get much better than that. Amazing effort, thank you G & the whole Acustica team!

thank you very much for your wise words!!!!!!!!!!!

appreciated.

Little news: we discovered a crash bug issue and we fixed. We'll upload a new version tomorrow. The new trial will be awesome for a different reason: as soon as it expires it will not damage your speakers any more
