So we are going to raise the bar here, they will be core8.
Killer.
What is special about these units? I don't mean to be skeptical, but for example AlexB has released an outstanding eqp1a library - even a stereo matched vintage pair which was serviced.

Are there any other advantages or special aspects for Purple besides the GUI/UX and midrange control?

I guess every Ptec, especially vintage units, will all behave a bit differently.

I hope this Monday. But there is still an issue missing, so it is possible a couple of days of delay.

I think a special "Pre sale" for both units would be nice + special discount for Pt1 owners . ;) And Yes , "WHITE" is defenatly a special Solid State unit (great by the way) so clean and accurate , dedicated to Mastering that it doesn't have much in common with "Purple" except the Ptq bands iteractions . "Purple" is supposed to be really close to originals , hot and tuby while "WHITE" is very clean and trasparent , i love it on my master BUS !

If you disagree I might perhaps buy Murano to get the EQP1A preamp, so it's not terrible. But once again I think it's fair to propose a discount for White owners, and even if nobody reacts to this assumption, it feels to me that my demand is appropriate.
No, white is a mastering solid state and pultec inspired device! This is a tube pultec inspired device, so much closer to eqp1. White is for mastering, this is for mixing! We have a tube mixing device and it is eqp1!
Your point is well taken, Giancarlo, but consider that offering a significant discount to White owners, potentially just during the presale for these EQs, may entice owners who would otherwise perhaps not bite - much like dangling an exciting fishing lure in front of a fish who already has a full belly. Personally, I am currently feeling like I won't be trying these when they are in trial because I have White and it is phenomenal. Calling White a 'Mastering EQ' really has no meaning other than marketing. I routinely use it on individual instruments (bass, kick, vocals, guitars) and it is fantastic on all individual sources. 'Mastering' tools are not just for the 2 bus anymore :).

Anyway, just a perspective for you to consider. Not only would these EQ's need to be absolutely stunning, they need to be at a 'no-brainer' price for me to consider. White is functionally perfect and I have enough Nebula 'tone-boxes' to last me a lifetime across any situation I could encounter. Perhaps I am alone in this thought or perhaps others might feel the same way. Not sure, but I thought it was worth sharing just so you know what at least one customer is thinking.

Hopefully even more so for those of us who purchased EQP-1 with the hopes of further updates & improvements.
Because it was devolved with another dev it is basically EOL correct?

Anyway looking forward to Purple either way.

It would make sense to take EQP1 out of the store then right, to avoid confusion?^^

There was an additional discount for the EQP1 owners to help them buy White when it came out. Now that the EQP1a has a new version, Purple, I think it's quite logical (at least it is for me) and fair to discuss a little discount in the other direction. Am I trolling ? Yeah... Possibly. But I want to buy stuff :) .
