Pink 2 is very, very good.

This one just feels "there".

The last 3 releases have kind of set a new bar in my mind for the sonic potential of Acquas.
With the cleaner transients and elimination of LF echo oddities, I'm really confident using these in mastering sessions.

Being able to use the 5500 or 560 in mastering without the full boxtone is actually super useful.
I just did a single using the graphic EQ (preamp off) along with the Weiss DS1-MK3 plug-in and the sound was fantastic before even adding analog processing.
The lead vocal sounded so good!

I then added a few bands of Azure in MS and printed a version with only digital processing.
I did an analog pass for comparison (bypassing Azure and using my Michelangelo & REQ-2.2 custom) but the digital one sounded great to me. Different, but not lesser.

First of all: a BIG thank you for this! Great gesture to provide the new Pink suite also to me as owner of the Pink compressor bundle! One question: my music computer is always offline and I would like to keep it that way. I saw the Pink 2 bundle in my dashboard but cannot find the new files (only the old ones). Do I miss something or is it currently impossible to do an offline registration (without using Aquarius)? The page on my dashboard says it is possible to register offline by doing it the oldfashioned way (with .ser and .aut files). But, like I said, I can't seem to find the Pink 2 files.

All the best, Aldo Adema

So, this is Pink, all grown up. What an epic update! It looks, feels, and sounds fantastic. The word I see in many posts about it, is "stunning," and I agree.
Thank you, Acustica!

I'd like to thank you, too.
Very generous upgrade (!), technically and sonically a huge step forward !

Two points I'd like to suggest:

- it would be great if the newly designed bypass-switches would remember the "last" selection when "un-bypassing".
- the new clipper is located after the output knob.
it would be great if one could drive it with the make-up gain and use the output control for level compensation.

Very cool, thanks for confirming Giancarlo.

One question...what does the P button do?
It enables/disables the preamp (harmonics + tone color + phase...) section.
Nice!

Is it one of the eight preamps that are in the standalone preamp module or is it for the 780 specifically? How about the 1650, which preamp is activated when that Preamp button is pressed?

I figured I would ask since this info isn't in the manual.

Not sure about the 780, but in the 1650 it must be model B preamp.

Preamp 2 is very good. Preamp 1 is nice on vocals.

The eq is superb and shows what the HW does.

The comp is good but i guess the hw can be a bit punchier. Its better than gold, tt and every other AA comp so far i think.

On p2 the 3s release seems to be auto attack and not 3 seconds.

Has someone reported volume drop in preamp 5 on pre module?
I don't know if someone has answered this but I'm having the same issue. It's around 6db lower than the other ones. Pro Tools 12 here...

I'm having issues purchasing Pink2. It's telling me that I need a VAT number. I live in the US, so I don't have that nor a Fiscal Code. Help, anyone?

Hey antago1, I don't deal with purchases, so I can't help. But your best bet would be to submit a sales ticket from the Support section on the website. I know that this may be annoying for someone who wants to place an order, but it is the best way to get sales support, as it all gets logged into the system and you will get a faster reply. Cheers, Nik

Thank you AA for the upgrade for Pink component users like myself (Pink 2412) - very generous & much appreciated (!)..

After a quick run-through, my initial impressions of the standalones are:

Sounds great (!)
Mic pre 5 is the one for me.
The graphic eq sounds super & is so fast and intuitive to work with.
Compressor sounds & works great - almost spooky.
The multiband appears to be a fascinating & powerful tool with great mastering potential.
The eq sounds excellent & 'A' is definitely reminiscent of the sonic character and behavior of some vintage 'orig A' eq modules I owned in the past (the aqua sounds cleaner/bigger/more 'high resolution' - as best as I can recall from my reference in memory) & has the similar 'almost can't fail' result with frequency boosts, especially the mids / highs...

Very impressive achievement - a big variety of excellent sounding & well-functioning tools under one hood that users would find it hard to go wrong with.....congratulations with this one!

I forgot how I got it to work, but I bought it on Friday and it sounds just as good as the trial that I've been abusing since release! LOL

Question:
Where is the insane control on the new Pink2-7236 and Pink2-2412? If the control didn't make the move to version 2, is the plugin running in insane mode by default?
