DETAILS

Pink2 is a VST/AAX/AU plug-in bundle which is based around a collection of well known late '60s American gear that is still built to this day and enjoys a great deal of admiration among engineers all around the world.
We at Acustica Audio take pride in the first version of Pink and we consider it to be among one of our flagship products. Its release was followed by an immediate success and appreciation, and its development gave way to a series of important technological improvements within our Core engine. Today Acustica is pleased to present to you Pink2 – a logical evolution towards a better mature version of its predecessor.

This update brings much more than just a simple GUI restyling: it's a real technological leap that leads to an incomparable sound quality within the Aqua series. Pink2 is the first of Acustica plug-in based on CORE 12, a significant upgrade featuring new important features affecting both the performance and sonic quality of our products.

Pink2 is a bundle consisting of 6 different plug-ins:

• Pink2 215: Preamp module with 8 different circuit distortion models.
• Pink2 780: 10 band graphic EQ.
• Pink2 1650: 4 band EQ module with 4 selectable per band models.
• Pink2 2412: Single band compressor.
• Pink2 7236: Multiband compressor.
• Pink2 Channel Strip: Full channel strip with EQ, compressors and preamp options.

With 5 different EQ models, a super flexible single-band and multiband compressors and a collection of preamps (circuit distortion emulations), this is one of the most complete suites offered by Acustica. We are proud to introduce to you what can be defined as the ultimate collection of plug-ins, conceived and designed to become an integral part of your "go to" favorite equipment.

CORE 12 represents a new technological advancement by Acustica:

• Upgraded SASM (Symmetric & Asymmetric Saturation Modeling) high performance saturation algorithm;
• Introduction of a new post-production sample de-noising tech for cleaner deconvolved impulses called STT (Super transient technology);
• Full compatibility with Client/Server architecture integrated by default in Acqua plugins;
• Engine optimization introducing a new highly efficient algorithm. This innovative technique is applied to all the deconvolved impulses for further de-noise processing and subsequent elimination of any incorrect low-level behavior (including the so-called "echo bug").

CORE 12 allows performance improvements for each plug-in of the Acqua Effects series, while at the same time preserving all the features already supported in previous CORE upgrades.

About Acustica Audio:
Acustica Audio creates faithful software emulations of rare vintage or modern hardware gear, and new hybrids impossible in the analogue domain. Acustica's development approach is unique for the market and it is based on dynamic sampling and a proprietary non-linear Vectorial Volterra Kernels engine. The company also builds dedicated analogue circuits in order to sample and include these in their software. This model delivers very similar to analog gear sound with hardware like transient response and sonic quality that overcomes the limitations of other software emulations.

About Nebula and Acqua Effect plug-ins:
Nebula is Acustica Audio's sampler plug-in able to load external sample libraries of various sound processors. An Acqua is a stand-alone plug-in based on skinned collection of Nebula libraries with added routing and control functionalities. Aquas are developed by combining one or more Nebula's instances. This process called 'parametrization' is achieved by using script languages proprietary to Acustica Audio and does not require external tools or compilers.

What if anything was changed with 2412 compressor. Seems easier to set up than I remember it being.

Again, why hide the manuals?
I also tried your BOX link & I get "This shared file or folder link has been removed."

awesome!

one thing: in pink2412 the sidechain tilt-eq was continuous, now its sadly stepped. would be great to get it continuous again.

sounds really really awesome!!!

there was a point during betatesting where someone asked why the 7236 was continuous and not stepped like 2412... we didn't remember any more if 2412 was originally continuous or stepped... we can revert it back though

attack is a way more accurate, and the plugin is sorted in a better way, also visually. Sidechain filter has not a button any more, it is a bit more intuitive. Meters are better. Gainstaging was improved. You have now an optional clipper. Many things

2412 compressor eats CPU way more than Ivory3 Compressor.
Why?
At first glance, their features are similar

if you run it alone you are running fir filters for the sidechain. We cannot do it in other ways, since filters are sampled from hardware, so IIR is not an option
ANYWAY you can run 2412 without that fir filter in pink2 strip channel, but you miss the sidechain.
Other point, 2412 is full program dependent, so it wastes an additional envelope follower
