Hi all, Acustica Audio is an official and attending sponsor of the event for a 5th consecutive year! All students are welcome - this certainly is one of the best similar events around Europe.

The Audio Engineering Society British Section’s annual student event Up Your Output will take place at Leeds Beckett University over the weekend of 17th/18th March 2018. The event will feature keynotes, workshops and talks from a wide range of practitioners from industry and academia. The event is a flagship for equality and diversity and encourages good practice among our young members, exposing them to a diverse range of inspiring role models.

Confirmed speakers:
Ann Charles
Marta Salogni
Ian Corbett
Kate Hopkins
Gavin Kearney
Katie Tavini
Leslie Gaston Bird

On our side there will be a lot of prizes for participating students and some tutorials/mix tips.

Frankly, apart from the official lectures and workshops, the student party alone is making this event worth attending :)

Acuatica Audio will have a dedicated tutorial space and it will be represented by Nik Georgiev - internal and 3rd party developer and long time Aqua and Nebula user. Other members of the Acsutica staff may also attend - to be confirmed.

Hi all, something we posted on Facebook. The event was just great and every audio student in this part of the world (UK) should consider attending UP! 2019 (dates and location to be announced soon).

Last weekend we had the pleasure to participate in the Audio Engineering Society British Section's annual student event 'Up Your Output!' 2018.

UP! brought together students, practitioners, academics and professional audio companies to explore the latest developments in Audio Engineering allowing all members to learn, develop and network in a supportive and inspiring environment. The event is a flagship for equality and inclusivity and encourages positivity and good practice among young AES members, exposing them to a diverse range of inspiring role models.

What is worth highlighting is that for a first time in its 6th year this event featured a majority of female presenters! The AES UK Section has been an avid promoter of the HeForShe solidarity campaign. Its goal is to achieve equality by encouraging men and boys as agents of change and take action against negative inequalities faced by women and girls.

Guys, this is something that affects us all within the audio and music production industry, and needless to say, goes far beyond. Lets just think about this for a moment - we all know how difficult it is for anyone who is just starting in this industry. And now ask yourselves the question - isn't it even more difficult for young girls to become part of what we all love, and how much do we do to encourage them? Well, they all deserve to be told that they can! Sometimes a thing as small as this can change people's life path! But it is not just this... All females around us deserve equal opportunities, to be treated with our full respect and not being looked at with any prejudice. Yes, we can do better!
