DC offset

Post by Thierr7 » Wed May 31, 2017 11:00 am

Hi Guys ,

A bit out of topic but , by doing a search , it led me here ... I'm talking abt DC offset .

It's been a while that i'm wondering if i should remove them , if so , on every single track , on the final Mix ?

I'm a bit confused ; i've read it could reduce ( to keep them ) the headroom you need to have for a good Master .

is there a tool that safely tells you if they should be removed ?

Anyway , any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks.

Hi, Ive found a highpass very low @ 10hz can help fix dc offset and lop-sided wave forms (where the negative cycle peaks higher than the positive.

Within any "serious" audio editing software, there should be a tool called something like "Remove DC Offset".
..."Of course", DC Offset should be removed, anywhere, anytime, kill it, kill it now !... :ugeek:
