in a future version we'll deconvolve using new envelope followers, they are waaaay more reliable, little aliasing, closer envelope follower timings and shapes. This incoming version is anyway necessary, because you have the same sound and core7, so we need this intermediate step.

Hi Acustica Audio team,
it's great to hear that you will be looking into improving Ultramarine after going Core 7. I mean it was really quite on the expensive side and therefore I'm glad to see you caring for the product and make it an futureprood investment.
Frankly, I'm always worried to get left behind with my Acustica purchases when you write on the forum: We have an improved Nat (or something like that) and therefore we'll get much better compression behaviour for future products .... etc.
I really do hope that you will always find the time for another sample session of something like the Fairchild of Prime Studios after you have made improvements with your sampling approach.
Many thanks for caring about your users in that way.

all the best and regards

We don't need to sample it again in most of cases.
The real issue is providing versions with a stable sound/processing
As soon as we go closer and closer we have a small but it is still a difference. We can't release an update for each new improvement, otherwise costs would be sky rocket.

I only use it for mastering. When using the same settings any peaks barely move the needles using either version.

I'm seeing Ultramarine 2 in my Dashboard, but it apparently requires a new authorisation. Is that normal ? I remember I did not have to re-authorize for Prime2.
