Hey all,

I am considering purchasing this or potentially Navy - what is the concensus on how Honey2 matches up to the recent releases like Amethyst and Pink? I trialled Honey and rhe Mic Pre and VCA buttons take REALLY long to engage/disengage, but this EQ seemed to sound really good and punchy, a bit more aggressive than Amethyst, along with the filters seeming steeper and more resonant. I can totally see this being great in a mix but what are some other people's experiences? Is Navy more essential or similar?

I love it!!!
It's great and just a incredible useful mixing EQ. Less aggressive than Pink, but still with a solid, "grabby" quality. Main selling point to me were the filters, which just sound very musical and a great midrange. I have no other EQ that is able to boost the presence of a group at around 2.5k without sounding harsh or honky.
After all, it's a different hardware and this one fills the gap between N**e and A*I Land quite sweet!
It will be updated to Core 8, so better loading times are on their way!

Thanks for the review, Fishmac! Yes this all sounds like what I was hearing. I am pretty confident that I will go with this, but I am thinking I'll try Navy to be sure :)

Good to know this will get a Core8 update!

Core 8 works on stepped knobs.
There isn't a tech advance here.

I am late at this party but it is now I am beginning into acqua world, I got pearl2 and I think maybe this is a good way to go(not cheap by the way...).

The matter is about I do own a daw made by Harr****, the brand which made the famous 32c console. I use reaper but I got this daw because the sound is amazing, it implements the real console and the sound is wonderful, the eq(it has 32c eq on every channel) and comp and tape saturation give you instantly a so good sound, without load any plugin, everything is there(cpu is really heavy of course). The bad side of it is that the workflow is far away to be easy or friendly, so I keep on using reaper. Some day I will try to learn this daw.

But I would like to know if any of you have tested Honey eq versus this 32c daw.
