I fell in love with the preamp

Post by beingmf3 » Tue Sep 08, 2015 6:07 pm

but not with the EQ section :) Is there a way to get the preamp separately? Or: which preamp is comparable to the Ivory one?

Thanks - Acoustica, the Scarlet and this one just deliver unbelievable sound!!!

just leave the eq bands switched off and you'll get the preamp only.
bands are only calculated when switched on, so there is no extra cpu hit.

the gui is pretty big then for just a preamp, i know :P
system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox/x3, tracktion6/7, reaper
system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6/7(32+64bit)

both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB

In a freudian way I have to be careful though: "Hey girl, I fell in love with your preamp, but your EQ section - I don't know" :o

In this case I'm sure Nebula (with Nebula setups to make a nice instance of your chosen pre-amp) would be the way to go? *IF* someone could tell you if/where there is the same pre-amp available as a nebula library.

You could also load just the preamp from ivory in nebula ( I think - or maybe in version 4?) and then skin it so you only have that and not the giant gui. :ugeek:

but as you say.. .very expensive just to buy it for the pre-amp (acqua plugs are already VERY expensive general so need to justify their cost by EACH feature/part being absolutely useful and 'suited' to your task)
