This is a valid point. However my main profession is in CG and I know there are ways to reduce the specular channels (highlights) via material attributes to make things less shiny (less glossy). That was Magenta's initial problem. I don't think that was Green's issue at all. Magenta is looking much better now, though I do still think it's a little too saturated. I love the new color scheme, though. In Green's case, reducing the saturation on those knobs would really help integrate them with the faceplate, which is fine 8-) Version 2 was really nice.

Now I feel like the whole thing has been made of plastic with loud gaudy colors and less sophistication. It looks cheaper than it did before. Too saturated for my taste. Plastic... like it could melt from the warmth of the sound coming out. Doesn't look like Acqua. It looks like a plugin.

I agree 100%. Magenta and green 2 were very classy and mature. Much better than the updates.
in the hardware realm knob covers generally ARE plastic! just google it (I mean frontal view). The shape of the knob was wrong (it was not rounded enough, so there were angles with a strange reflection).

There will be space for improvement for Green4 or Green5 lol :D
Im sure they will be G.

Hmm..i was just testing Green2 and Green3 at 80Hz, +3db. So how, Green2 is a lot more nicer sounding that Green3. Anyone notice that?

I am on 64bit AU. Green3 with Core7 causes much higher CPU load with spikes. Green2 works flawlesly with stable CPU load which is much lower. Same problem with other Core7 plugins.

My setup:
Intel i7 3.4GHz
Duet FW (256 samples latency)
16GB RAM
Logic 10.2.2
OS X 10.11.3
Mac Pro 12-Core, OS X 10.2.3, 32GB RAM, GTX970, Apogee DUET FW, Logic Pro X 10.3.1, Trinity, Titanium, Pink, Red, Ochre, Orange, SAND, Gold

I had CPU spikes too using Green3 in Logic. I found a temporary solution for it and hope Gian can look into making a more permanent solution.

Go to the Green3 xml file and find the <THREADS> parameter. Default value is 0. Set it to value 1 and save. Launch Green3 and it should work with less spikes :)

Green3 Windows trial setup files in upload.
Green3 OSX trial setup files in development.

1. Step by step installation and authorization process is detailed in product user manual.

2. Each trial product can be licensed two 2 times only.

3. Each trial license will expire after 30 days from the day that the license has been issued.

4. Acustica Audio products use a protection based into challenge–response authentication system. We don't send any serial code after purchase.

5. Install your product in a protected folder will result in protection malfunction.

6. Trial, commercial, free products can coexist.

7. Trial products and commercial are different products with different file names and different plugin identification.

If I understand this correctly, has this Acqua Plug in been updated to Core9?

If so, does this entail a re-sampling process, or is it simply a matter updating some of your engine libraries?

It appears that Blue may have also gone through a similar update recently.

I would find it very helpful if you could put the engine version into the product details page in the web store. Maybe on the "In Depth" tab.
