Really curious about titanium haven't been able to try it yet. I often need to use a multiband when mastering for my clients. If this unit can be as effective as say the ozone 7 multiband, I would definitely wanna use it. Can this unit grab the bass and let the kick through on the bottom and can it catch the really fast peaks on the tops when I wanna tame the transients or is this more of a mojo, lethargic kind of comp?

It's an opto compressor, so the taming of transients is less aggressive, more round. I wouldn't say it's lethargic though. Titanium has this bulbous, thick sound to it. I love what it does to the low end, but I doubt that it's similar to Ozone. It may not be the right thing to use everytime, but it will still sound good even when it's not appropriate. The compression behavior (Core 7) is still very nice sounding, but this coming update should make it even nicer.

New version will feature "old mode" and a faster one
Old mode is smoother, new one is aggressive. Combining both of them you will gain way more flexibility

i know you guys at AA have a lot to do

But it would be nice to know when
After Sand release perhaps :) ?

The tone in this one impressed me
if the tone stays with good compression to follow in v2
you have a new customer for Titanium :D

Cheers

We started titanium2 first but it is possible ultramarine will be completed before. Reason is this time very subtle: I'm still figuring if we need a bidirectional shmod for titanium2 (like pink) or unidirectional (like aq3). And I'm still figuring if the shmod control should have effect in old titanium1 mode.
Since I think we need both of them, we have 2 compressors to fix for titanium2 and just one for ultramarine3, so ultramarine3 will be completed before.
In reference to the other thread, I’m wondering, why Titanium2 should not have the bidirectional ShMod?

Look-ahead has been implemented in AA opto style compression, using simple delay split-signal. This works fine in AQ3 that also has a discrete section shmod to shape or retain punch.
In regard to Titanium 2, I assume a bidirectional shmod will make it even more versatile, at the same time taking advantage of ultrasync /Core 9?
