Ok here my quick thoughs about the matter.
1) we have been using vstanalyzer for years, results are the same. In DDMF the dynamic analisys is a bit less buggy, but you can do similar things in vstanalyzer
2) about people asking about watching a comparison with hardware: by definition our plugins are the same, it's impossible you spot a difference in a filter or eq. We use a FIR approach, which is the same used by analyzer for representing the bode diagram (magnitude, phase). You can do exactly the same in NAT, our users have been doing it for years. In nat you can also watch the hardware picture. ANYWAY it is easier to get a "clean" picture in software realm, because in digital domain you don't have noise and converters. In digital domain a "spike" or a "dirac" is enough. If you want a lot of precision you can use a small testtone (like 8K or 16K samples, or even 1K). For getting the same accuracy you need 60 seconds or 90 seconds testtone in hardware domain
