yes I see the posts here but I'm not support, and I'm not connected with support at all, and very seldom I speak with them because an issue.
We know that on mac osx the fast switching of controls could lead to hangs in several cases (fast switching between a program and a different one), but it affects all our plugins because it is at the engine level.
The same issue is also reported on windows, but it is extremely rare.
Cream is just more error prone because the switching is "fast" in any case since we used wheels, so basically it is acting like a stress test.

It is an old bug we tried many times to replicate properly and hunt, we'll go back on it after AES convention, and I'm very interested in solving it, possibly it is the only reason for bugs on our current engine (apparently there are not other issues!)

It's interesting if a release is more stable than a different one, please report it in a ticket, it is a very precious information for them. Basically if engine xxx is better then yyy we could try to understand if something is connected with your specific trouble. Yesterday they tried to replicate the bug in a lot of different ways, and we can replicate it but stressing wheels really a lot, but it is interesting if someone is able to replicate it quickly, this situation could help us really a lot.

That's valuable info Gian, thank you. I'll do my very best to help you help us;)
Before raising the ticket, I will try identify what triggers the issue on my specific system.

Besides this (minor) issue, I would say the newer UAE/NAE has proved to be rock-solid, no more shaking hands on new inserts!

Hello good people. If you are curious I just finished this mix using only Acustica Cream. :) lots of EQ on the vocal, still sound nice. Used Cupwise BX Reverb.

Hi there, it actually should have been over about a month ago :) So I would say that it will be over as soon as Fabio updates the webpage/shop. Last week I tweeted that it is about to end as this was reported in the updates I get. So really, it should be imminent.

Hi,
many thanks for your quick reply!
I just bought it : -)

p.s. I am wondering what that secret coupon is supposed to be and how I can have a look at it. Is it attached to an email that I should have received?

Many thanks again and regards

I actually don't know :) I know it is something we were not meant to talk about at the time of the release so I didn't even ask. I'll see if it is time to reveal more about this...

Question for G, or anyone, about Cream... specifically the tube preamps. It says in the manual that the sampling of the Green Machine tube pre includes the sound of the tape itself... is this the same for the first 2 tube pre's as well?

From the manual:

- Tube 1, tape machine 1 "flat" (IN-OUT)
- Tube 2, tape machine 1 w/ "no de-emphasis" (IN-OUT)
- Tube 3, tape machine 2 “Green Machine” (IN-TAPE-OUT)

From this, it would suggest that only the Tube 3 pre has the sound of the tape medium itself... is this correct? Or do all 3 of the tube pre options have the tape sampled?

Is there any info on what tape was used, etc.?

Is there any way to bypass the tape emulation and just have the pure tube pre?

Many thanks in advance for any clarification.

Hey fastersound, as I am not 100% sure about this, I asked the question to the person who sampled this. I hope to have an answer for you soon. Cheers

Hey man, I asked and waiting for reply myself. I thought it is SteDal, but it isn't him. So perhaps it was G. Will let you know when I know.

Hey guys, so I managed to trace who sampled this - it looks like it was the boss himself! :-)

So I can confirm that the preamps in Cream have no tape medium included and it is only the valve circuitry of the machines that was sampled. However, and I am not going to say more - check my Tweeter pic post, follow Giancarlo's Instagram stories (https://www.instagram.com/giancarloacustica/), or join our official Facebook group and you will see something interesting going on ;)

p.s. Yes, I will request a change in the Cream manual!

Ah, so no tape was sampled at all for either of the 3 tube preamp options - good to know, thank you for following up!
