yeah i'm one of the unlucky guys: also i9 (mac + pro tools). able to run literally a hundred instances of n4, but cannot run even one instance of azure hq.

Hey ceemusic, to my knowledge this should be fine now. At least for me in the past there were some explosions in Pro Tools and for quite a while this problem is completely gone (I believe it is since Gold came out). Did you do a test yourself? You can always create a new session in your DAW of choice and try to abuse it with the speakers level way down and see if any issues will occur. But to my knowledge it should be OK now.

Thanks for the info. I've tried it & it seems to work fine, however the other day I started having several really strange issues related to Cream. I thought it might be related to this in some way. I did fine several culprits but won't go into those with this question.AcusticaPress wrote: ↑Tue May 08, 2018 4:23 pmHey ceemusic, to my knowledge this should be fine now. Also I think some type of instructional or walk through videos would be helpful for everyone concerned someone. I thought there were plans but haven't seen any.
Especially with Cream, I think many would look at the something like the eq frequency choices & not consider them useful or typical for cuts/ boosts. I however am finding the opposite, mixing while boosting 200hz in many cases, not something I'd typically gravitate doing when working with other plugins but with combing it with the Presence & Treble it can sound terrific.
Overall Cream is working well on the majority of material but especially like the results I'm getting on clean guitar tones with my Kemper. It's actually turning out to be my favorite Acqua releases which I didn't think was going to happen either.
Re: Acustica releases Cream - a dreamware approach to console modelling!
You completely missed the point about stereo. It has absolutely nothing to do with crosstalk or anything else.. it's simply the channel 1 sounds different to channel 2.. thus being able to have channel 1 on LEFT and channel 2 on RIGHT will give a sort of nice floating and wide stereo image to any signal, compared to how it is now where the selected channel goes into both left and right.giancarlo wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 5:47 pmAbout true stereo: if you ask to me the effect is completely absent on this kind of console. Crosstalk was measured and neglegible. Crosstalk is the only element which could bring something of channel L to channel R, for instance. It was something in the -100dB ballpark.
So in this case true stereo is overkill, and it would double the resource usage using our technique. We want something to apply to all channels. Now: cpu load is very very low today, and I can confirm it will be LOWER at least on windows side. We'll tell you more about a possible timeframe for this kind of update.
So inside CREAM plugin it should be possible to set LEFT and RIGHT inputs/outputs to their own channels. That's what the other company does and that's the main point of their "gimmick".
You can test this yourself any time in Reaper. Two instances of Cream, one for left and one for right, then give them their own line or mic channels. Now compare that to a single instance of cream with a single channel. There is a big difference in sound stage.
Re: Acustica releases Cream - a dreamware approach to console modelling!
there seems to be something wrong with the cream update "I000 - 08 May 2018". all the cream plug-ins turn into a nebula 3 gui without any parameter. i downgraded to "H000 - 04 May 2018" to solve the problem. (mac / osx 10.13.3 / pro tools ultimate 2018.4)
Re: Acustica releases Cream - a dreamware approach to console modelling!
I don't know why everyone is tripping about this true STEREO Cream version? Maybe because I'm a Pro Tools user, I don't have this problem, but what's wrong with creating two mono tracks and copying your plugin settings on each? Doubling the resources in one instance of CREAM, isn't even necessary. Split the stereo track into mono, put Cream on each, change the mic/line input channel for desired sound and happy mixing. In Mastering, do the same and send to a STEREO bus, for more processing with hardware or other plugins. Simple.
I don't want to come across like a jerk, so let me know if I'm missing an important point.

With update version "I" there seems to be a new issue with the compressor standalone plugin.
As soon as compressor B or C is switched on the peak reduction meter returns to -30 and gets stuck there. This happens only to compressor standaloone plugin. Not channel strip.

Is also reported to support.

+1 on the reduction meter sticking.
Couldn’t get on this site yesterday to report it.

I can verify standalone compressor GR problem. I'm not hearing this thing release, so I think it's more than just the meter. Error condition seems to reset when switching from Comp B/C to OFF.

I like the aesthetics of the thumb wheel, but an easier selection option would be nice.
