Orange Eq: the first Acqua entirely developed by Acustica

Post by AcusticaPress » Thu Sep 11, 2014 11:54 am

The Orange Eq is inspired by the sound of a much sought-after American equalizer used in the 1980’s. This is the first Acqua plug-in entirely developed by Acustica Audio, characterized by an improved quality and based on a sampling technique with Prism Sound converters.
This is the first time Acustica has adopted a price policy aimed at placing a product on the market whose price is around 3%-4% of the market value of the unit our product was inspired by.
For a limited period of one month, a payback policy is being adopted allowing our customers to receive a discount coupon to be applied to their next purchase. Moreover, although the product’s price is already reduced by €10, the payback value equals the product’s total value.

yes we have a new policy: 3-4% of the market value. Obviously a M****y for mastering, which ranges around 5000 eur will have a different price, but I think it will be always well balanced.

Than we have this discount, 10 eur. Than you could use those 30 euro for buying something else. I think it is a steal!!!!!!

Just FYI:

I installed it on Mac OS X 10.9.4 (the VST64 plugin) and could not run it in Studio One because there was a permission problem with the Acoustica folder in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

After I fixed the permission of that folder I could open the plugin and see the GUI ... (but I didn't buy it so it wasn't authorized ...)

Hi,

downloaded it, read the instructions how to install it, got the licence.zip and so on... and it worked perfect.

Using Studio One 64bit on a AMD X6 and Win7-64.

The Sound: Awesome! Very cool PLugin for 20 € indeed. I like it on Snare, Bd, Guitar.
Studio One on Intel i7 4790k.
Aquas i like are: Lime, Gold, Pink2412, Amethyst2, Honey

Just purchased but I was also having errors adding it to my cart in chrome, works fine in safari.

Also do the Hz numbers change on the knobs when you switch from band 1 to 2 etc. As it says band 2 is from 50-150hz but the GUI only shows to 20-60hz for band 1.

Also any chance of getting the HP & LP filters in an update? HP filters are very important for me when using a track EQ. As I pretty much always cut out the lows on majority of my individual tracks when mixing.

Looks really cool! The sound sample sounds great too.

I'm admittedly unfamiliar with the original unit, can anyone give a description as to how it sounds (maybe compared to another popular EQ) or point to any records that have been heavily-shaped by this EQ?

Filters will be included in a futher upgrade.
