Any insights into why this decision was made?

...and as a follow up, are there plans to make them independent in a future update?
If I remember correctly, the decision was made because the plugin uses an existing Nebula library inside and not a new sampling, and this is how the original library was set up. One of the beta versions did have the knobs unlinked, in fact. But there were other problems from this and since Acustica was not resampling the hardware, the solution to link them and keep it consistent with the library made sense to them.
Maybe Giancarlo or someone else from Acustica will chime in soon about the potential of future updates including this function, I am not an employee and have very little "insider" info. But from the discussion about it during the beta testing, I do not expect that functionality to change.

Log in in unser account. Then click on forum first and second then onto customer area. Then there are My products and there you have to go to your EQp1... just log into the box and compare the different versions. you will find it!
I have it but it's listed as uploaded on July 28.

There are two version of EQP-1 version one with splitted instances and version two with only one big instance. Customers that bought version one can download and use both. Lasted installers are for version two but you always can manually update to lasted Acqua Engine (current customer version is 1.3.770 ans beta is 1.3.793)

If you need more information, contact me thru a support ticket.

However:
installed are now Blue EQ 1.3.789 64 Bit and the 1.3.760 EQP1 64 Bit.

I hope these are the newest versions.

P.S.: why not kill the older ones and seperate them also in x86 and x64 folders? Would be much easier to find the correct file...

Be aware though that the version with the split instances is not the one plugin with the 2 low end knobs unlinked. It is an Acqua library made up of single instances of each band, like the older Acqua suites before we had multi-band capabilities. I just wanted people to be aware of this as they reference this thread.

Correct, there is a new installer for Blue EQ. We will find an easy solution for keep all Acqua Effect plug-ins up to date with last stable Acqua Engine without need to re-download a full installer.

I request to Antonello to publish this update in news section.
