As it says, none of these seem to work in the compressor-only modules. I've tried Gold, Amethyst, Pink 2, an Acquamarine trial... Nothing works for sidechaining. Even worse, you can't do it manually! The compressor simply fails to function.
This is a rather huge oversight for mastering compressors which have no full modules where the provided EQ can function as a sidechain (as with Gold and Sand). Are there are any plans to address this? This kind of ruins Acquamarine for me. The sidechain's critical.
Reaper sees 4 inputs as with other sidechain-capable plugins, but, internal or external, something's broken.

hmmm ... using Reaper here. SideChains are all working with External.

Re: Sidechains still don't work
I went back to double check, and some compressor-only modules work with external sidechains while others don't.
Does work with external: Amethyst, Pink 2412, Sand
Does not work with external or internal: Gold, Aquamarine
It's spotty at best. I just came across this while demoing Aquamarine. The sidechain there is absolutely critical. I'm surprised people didn't complain more than they did. Add to this that most Nebula releases include a sweepable HPF.

I think Aquamarine has Built-in sidechain filters.

Re: Sidechains still don't work
Testing again it does seem to work, but only externally. I don't know which way is up anymore.
I apologize to Acustica as the functions don't seem to be broken except for internal sidechain. Maybe a bit of a hassle to set up a master buss sidechain if all you want is HPF.

Re: Sidechains still don't work
It used to. I don't know when or why Acustica changed it, but I prefered it with the internal sidechain over external. Just my 2 cents

Re: Sidechains still don't work
Pink 2412 has two modes (internal/external)
I think also crimson, possibly ivory
The other ones, just external one
Check the user manuals, it should be described accurately

Re: Sidechains still don't work
For the record, the Aquamarine manual still states that the Sidechain switch engages an internal 90hz filter. It hasn't been that way for a looooong time now. I always wondered why the switch was made to be external.
