Note, that versions prior to 035 don't autoupdate correctly. So 035 should be downloaded from scratch and not installed using auto-update.

Where would one find 035?

Here is the link to shared Box folder, which always contains the latest PUBLIC BETA Aquarius Windows and OSX versions.
https://app.box.com/s/vlqk2sa7doi4pb3upwqr06q976vssqm4

Dropbox mirror:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/q8asxn9ef4cz ... WQ1ia?dl=0

We are aware of some problems with Aquarius auto-update functions (for example 1.0.033 version doesn’t work, but hopefully versions >= 1.0.035 work properly).

So, if Aquarius self-update doesn’t work for you, please report issue, download Aquarius from this folder and do a manual update.

How to do a manual update?

Windows

Extract contents of archive (including subfolders) to your folder, which contains Aquarius.exe

Mac OS X

Just use the new .app.

You will want to save your Aquarius settings before updating ...

Just copy file »Aquarius.app/Contents/Resources/aquarius.settings« from old Aquarius.app to the same folder in the new Aquarius.app.

Sorry for inconvenience and thanks for testing!

Win7 [64]

Ran Aquarius [.33], said it was updating to [.36].

Then it re-started, and crashed. with an error message saying something about an old Aquarius.

Went to the posted link ... tells me no files are there.

no Aquarius now.

As i wrote in previous post, do manual download.

033 self-update doesn't work, it actually deletes important Aquarius files ...

Sorry for trouble ...

manual upgraded to 0.36.

I had lost all settings, with no way to save off settings file once Aquarius ran with forced upgrade.

will test later today

self-updating from .32 crashed and would crash on opening for me. Downloading and running the newest .36 solved everything though 8-)

In Windows, settings file "aquarius.settings" is located inside resources folder. If you delete this folder, settings are lost. 033 broken self-update shouldn't delete it, but it doesn't matter now. Before next update, just make a backup of this file and you are safe.

I think now with 036, self-updates should become more stable.

I've now pulled a backup copy of settings [future].

Not a issue really, as the settings can be re-done.

v:1.0.36 - I've only performed 1 re-install from Purchase. Successful.

thx

Acquarius auto update failed. The app on my desktop got renamed acquarius_old.exe and the update failed when it was unable to find the desktop application. I tried downloading from the link listed a couple posts above, and that points to version 1.0.0.27 which is the last version I downloaded and extracted. Re-installing version 1.0.0.27 also throws a fail-on-startup error.

Ok, I found a link to 1.0.0.36 and installed that. I'm working again, but I've lost all of my plugin pathing.
