General GUI lag?

Post by the19thbear » Fri Jul 14, 2017 12:53 pm

Hi. I am currently testing some acqua plugins.
They all have a lag. About 3 seconds from when i press a button to when it actually is activated.

I am using OSX Sierra.
quadcore I7 2600 (hackintosh)
16gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2047 MB

NOT using an SSD.

I am generally impressed with the sound of the different plugins, but 3 seconds i a real workflow killer.

Any workarounds?

I had a look at disc activity when using the plugins, and I didnt really see anything odd going on, so i dont think its because im not using an SSD.

Thanks.

+1 here. Same things. Great sound, but its not possible to work like this in regular basis.

Intel Xeon 2670,GeForce 1070.
Windows 10 x64.
Magix Samplitude Pro X3 and REAPER 5.40
Any workarounds? May be there is kind of problem with nvidia cards or something?

Is a correct behavior in slow computers due N2V Vector files need to be loaded from HDD into RAM. We suggest fast SSD, fast RAM, and fast CPU.
