Is this possible or for that matter even feasible?
I'm dreaming of creating new libraries/Acqua plugins from sampling on the component level and then combining the single/grouped components together to create something entirely new, or am I just a dreamer?! Lol
Put me out of my misery.
I imagine it would be a complete CPU hog.

Re: Component Level Sampling
When you say, 'components' ... are you speaking resistors, tubes, transformers, OpAmps, etc ???

Yes or a group of components.

Re: Component Level Sampling
I don't think that a 'component' would have a 'sound' ... not in the way we [engineers] would say. Without doubt, various components can have effect on a signal passing through ... however ...
I think the process is more, the interaction of these components ... in an 'electrical/ electronic' dynamic.
Things like: load, transient, slew rates ... and much more important factors.
To sample ANY, or several 'components' only maintains them in an 'audio' format. A piece of hardware deals with electricity/ electrons, and there flow and resistance/ capacitance, etc.
BUT ... we have had sample libraries of things like Tubes and transformers. Maybe you have idea/concept for this or something new.
exploration can be a learning experience ... whether succeeded or not.
