Phasey noise in reverb tails?

Post by psound » Sun Aug 18, 2013 10:26 pm

Can any NAT sampling gurus explain why there is a ghostly low-level noise in my reverb tails?

Example:

Maybe there was some sort of modulation causing this?
Guess I'll just keep testing.

try increasing the length of the tone sweeps, all the way up to 60. see if that has any effect on it.

Thanks. Tried length 60 and made some programs.

Seemed to help make it even quieter but that same ghostly sweeping noise is still audible (faintly) at the end of the reverb tails. Frustrating.

well, if the reverb you are using has pitch modulation like a chorus type of thing or anything like that being applied to the reverb to give it motion, then yeah that's going to cause problems. so you should research whatever the unit is and try to figure out if it does that. if you can disable the modulation then you definitely want to do that.
