.SER file not created please help

Post by sfabs » Sun Dec 15, 2013 2:45 pm

Hi

I purchased nebula 3 pro.

I am using windows 7 64 bit but Cubase 6.5 32 bit for now. I downloaded and ran the 32 bit installer.

I changed the VST and repository locations. I didn't install any libraries (even default)

Loaded Cubase and ran nebula. Ran on the GUI options 1-8 with 8 saying send in ser : xxxxxxxxxxxx

and stopped there. no ser created. cant click on anything , no init program loaded.

since I have reinstalled nebula a few times with default locations but always the same. I cant run NAT either, the screen flashed but nothing happens. I have tried installing and running as administrator.

Desperate to try it out can someone help :(

Acustica Audio Products Key F.A.Q.
http://www.acustica-audio.com/phpBB3/vi ... ?f=7&t=362

Problem type 1: Nebula not generate any .SER file
Trouble: You are logged in your OS as user not as administrator and Nebula has not permission to write in the plug-in support installation folder.
Solution: Copy the numbers from Nebula to a Notepad in Windows or TextEdit OSX. Save as the document as Nebula3.ser for Nebula3, Nebula3 Pro and Nebula3 Pro Server and Nebula2.ser for Nebula2.

Thank you for your reply

I used notepad to create a txt file in windows. I inserted the 10 digit number and saved it as nebula3. I then renamed the file to nebula3.ser but when I tried to upload the file I got this message

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(nebula3.ser)
That is not a valid file type (text/plain) or file size too big!
[Unknown upload error]

Allowed file types: application/octet-stream
Max. file size: 97.66 KB

I tried creating the file as nebula3.ser.txt as well but got the same message...? what am I doing wrong?
