Oh! Yes you're right! :o I will have to keep an eye on this "new" -18db rms rule. Thanks! :D

well, each developer has a different rule, but it seems like this -18 dB one is growing as a standard in nebula. Just a brief explanation
analog 0 dB = nebula input -18 dB

so you was working at around + 18 dB on the real console and it was adding weird compression. In this region nebula is not emulating things perfectly too so I suggest to not overload inputs.

Finally, the problem is still there even with an input volume lower than -18 db rms. I'm at -28 db rms at the input of Nebula and i hear even more the weird effect (using the send-return program).

Dry : http://www.davidmeshow.com/download/MLC_SRN_dry.wav

Wet : http://www.davidmeshow.com/download/MLC_SRN_wet.wav

Does someone who is using the Modern Logic Console can tell me what is wrong with my Send-Return program?

All the rest sounds perfect!

If you're not working at 96kHz make sure you set the conversion as stated in the manual (me and several others just move the slider up to the max - 9000).

After changing rate_cnv, you have to press save, close Nebula and then open Nebula again for the settings to take effect. Hope this helps

Thanks but same problem again... I don't understand because all the other programs sounds perfect but the MLC SRN program makes this weird compression effect. :?
I'm using the MTC SRN and it sounds great.

DavidMeShow, I'm getting the exact same issue, but with a totally different program - in my case the CDSoundmaster Cooltec Preamp Program "ALL" sounds exactly like what I'm hearing in your examples. So this is nebula-specific, not library-specific. It IS gain-dependant though, so definitely try lowering the input until it disappears.

Did you download the fix Michael posted for that issue ?
