OK, step-by-step I update the Listening Room, now you can compare the MLC with CLC and also the Slate VCC4K
PPay attention to listen not only at the sound stage (wideness and deepness) and at the spectral frequency but also at how the dynamics changes, how the voice is more live and how the harshness is smoothed with some general punch added, everything glued.

Alex people seem to say VCC is at its best when driven. Would it be possible to do a listening room with your console driven and VCC?

I'm sorry but I haven't the time.. You ask for this, other guy for other settings... I can't... However when you drive the VCC it compresses the sound and the result is a more 2D harsh sound, yes more loud but not better... Unfortunately some people love "loud compressed sound" vs "good sound" and thinking that if it sounds loud than it sounds better
When you drive the console it doesn't compress the sound but enrich it harmonically giving you the illusion of the compression, the dynamics still live. VCC works like a compressor-saturator killing the dynamics... Very different...

Impressive! The MLC is subtle but nice. A surprise was the MTC. I fell now that I haven't given it the attention it deserves. The VCC sounds really different to the rest. Much more apparent effect. I didn't particularly like it, but then, I had the preconceived notion that I wouldn't which might, or might not, affect that conclusion.

Wait when all the consoles will be uploaded, there will be some surprises 8-)

The tracks are processed at unity gain at 0dBVU while the mixbuss have a little more drive with 0dBVU level and peak around +4dBVU...Like in the real world

I think that there isn't the universal console but you can choose the correct ones every time, according to the type and musical style and your personal taste... Or building digitally your custom console with different stages ;)

The eq is clean. The cleanest in Nebula so far. And the highs are really good, it gives its own kind of sparkle, open and neutral, doesn't sound like anything we have. I also like the way it enhances lows without adding mud. Cutting in the low mid area affects a bit too much what's bellow, even at tight q values, I prefer the CLQ for that, it keeps the sound punchy and full.

Didn't have the time to dive into the console yet. Later today.

I have found CLeQ more surgical with character while the MLeQ is more clean and musical. Perhaps one for cut and the other for boost :P

Yes, if you need a clean boost. Those highs are special, never heard this before.

At the first listen I tend to like it more than linear phase equalization. I also find the cuts (dips actually) in CLQ, 1 kernel, really good.

The high pass filter in MLQ is instead more transparent, almost like there's no filter there.

I'd say it's the best filter in Nebula atm.

Loved the MLQ-demo at first sight. Then I noticed that the CLQ does things just as well, only the airy-transparent-character of the Hi Shelve is very special.

The new set of console audio demos is much better. Differences are way more obvious compared to the previous versions - but that could be just me.
The SSL4000 is still king for me, even more than before. Feels the "rightest". All consoles are clearly better than the ITB original though.
Well, nice to know the offer's up until end of february !

What's the technical difference between the Clean and the Glue examples ?

Ehmmm... From the user manual:

Clean: only the console summing and amp stage
Glue: the console summing and amp stage + a little drive by console mixbuss.

Now I'm impressed by the SC81 on the voice :o
I have processed only the lead voice with "input line" and the eq (lowcut at 80Hz and +3dB at 8.2kHz narrow Q), the background voices with "input line" only, sub-grouped with the "mixbuss clean" and mixed with the original mix. The voice is more full and loud but the levels are perfectly matched to original mix. In a word: harmonic saturation by vintage N**e circuits !

Alex, what's the name of the skin in the first pic in the first post? Dark one.
