Phoenix Audio Nice DI

Okay this is my 1st time with Nat
A Phoenix Audio Nice DI which is a Class A discrete transformer based DI box but is actually great on a DAW Mix buss and making
things sound well Nice!


But form what Ive heard when listening back all seeems good

Sound nice hehe :) thanks! by the way seems the high preset changes lvl.s when inserted (randomly).

I have a Nice DI but Im gonna try this and compare :)

Maybe it was to hot and the Nat could not handle the breakup
Like I said Im new to Nat.

No problem, with a quick audition I didn't notice it with other 2 settings.

Try editing the programs Input pad and off course make sure its not clipping.

I was using the Hot today on a guitar and it worked fine but on the 2 buss it was too much whihc is to be expected as the Nice DI when driven hard distorts quite a bit.

Zaminx - do you feel the NiceDI really adds something? I actually - own one - and think it does its job well - but its pretty clean...

Apart form using it on DI duties which it is amazing for I have found that mixing into it gives a slightly euphonic sound. Also I like what it does to the stereo image and it sort of cleans up the low mids and rounds the bass in a pleasing way. Like every tool it's a case of experimenting and seeing what works on any given project.
