Henry, your drum reverbs were two of the best things to ever happen to my mixes. Thank you!

Hi Lipa,

I can look at it. I am familiar with the piece. I will look at this of course if no-one does it soon.

I suggest that if you guys have any requests that you simply let me know on this thread. I will try and do whatever is reasonable - time allowing. :D

lipa wrote:Hey H-man, a thread away from here there was suggested You could do a massive passive redo.. and You said You keep away from parametric eqs for a while.. so maybe You could look at some more summing stuff? I'd love to see the fat bustard from thermionic culture done.. ;) it's a summing box with plenty of nice distortion and a few special knobs for hi/lo shelves (i guess), attitude and drive..and some widening too if i remember. should be just enough for a decent neb library 8-) some time ago i tried to make an inception to AlexB.. he didn't confirm nothing so far ;)

Hi Henry and others.

I'm a bit curious about all the tape libraries on offer here. How does one choose which one would be the most beneficial to buy and for what purpose?

Owen ;)

I don't think it is a matter of what is best, but more about having variety and choices. And at the prices Henry sells his libraries for, people can afford more choices!

Hi Owen,

I assume your question is with reference to my tape sim libraries only. The TAPE sim I have on offer is ONE box with many different models. It has 4 tape machine models and 2 tape types. I sampled each machine model with each tape model so that gives you 8 packages.

I will give coupons in the future with promotions so that the tape library pack is discounted as a kind of bundle. Not by much mind you - maybe £ 5 off. So for £ 35 on promo you can have all the libraries and kind of get a similiar sound to the original box that costs 100 times more. Depends on whether you can live with the curiosity of not knowing how the other libraries sound because each pack is unique. My advice - naturally - get the whole lot! Other tape plugs will cost a lot more and not come close - again IMHO.

If I have misunderstood your question and it is a wider question comparing between my tape sim libraries and others - I think it is fair to say that subjectively ) mine have a smoother sound, higher resolution feel and more forgiving high end. I have tried to make presets that do no violence to the audio. So it depends on the genre of music you are mixing. If you are into acoustic music, folk, jazz, classical etc and work at 96 khz then you will appreciate the superb resolution but if you are into a more grungy sound with deeper bass, you may appreciate the other libraries as they make the sound more earthy. They all have their place IMHO and a comparison may shed light on that. I will get round to it one day but I am soooooo busy now. Perhaps someone else can do it.

Also missing from my libraries are 44.1 khz sample rates as they are a 192 khz and 96 khz pacakage. 44.1 khz is coming...............as a paid upgrade as it is labour intensive - not much. Maybe £ 3 a pack.

Just about to hit the road again for a few days again guys but got a little something for you. :D. Have fun - by the way - the BeGe1 PRE has sample rates of 192 khz, 96 khz and 44.1 khz. All future libraries will have all sample rates in a package and I will begin to slowly add updates to the other libraries to cater for 44.1 and 96 khz for the NV series. Hope that makes some people happy.

wow...Henry's working like a horse to deliver such good presets so often!! thanks a lot! As to "quick" series - demo didn't quite convince me..I was very unconvinced to this style of working. but since I bought one (vocality) lib I'm now collecting all of these programs.. They're reallly GREAAT!! really getting me quickly.. I only wish they didn't have High pass filter included in chain.. I would like to add this one myself.. cause many times I'd like to use certain vocal preset.. guitar preset on whole buss or so.. and since it filters out low end totally.. it's a no go. Anyway, I'm waiting for more.. Henry.. will You be doing same groups (vocal, electric guitar and so on) with different sound in mind? I'd love to see A*I'ed drums or guitars.. or T**e-T**h'ed something.. ;)

.. and yes... please please make us use Hi-pass filters ourselves! You can include one hpf program only as a bonus with the lib. anyone could then apply it as much (as high freq) as one would wish.. Vocal and guitar presets really sometimes cut to high for my taste.. but the programs SOUND BRILLIANT! :D

Hi Lipa,

First of all thanks for the correction of the description.

Your request is duly noted. Remember that I am always increasing the NV family so Stereo Buss samplings are coming. I may expand the family with user requests. For example if people want deeper fuller guitars. Always open to suggestions for libraries ( as long as I still have the hardware ).

Another thing to consider. Go to the store and click on ' shop' and in 'my old q-clone presets' buy the smooth eq in my q-clone packs. It is the same eq and I sampled hundreds of settings including full mix buss settings. Place the q-clone preset before the no eq nebula preset. Smile.

Best wishes
