Just curious, are you planning to make at least one program with only the room sound and dry/wet controls?

I know its not really ment to do that, and i already had so great results with guitars/trumpets/strings that i couldn't ever replicate with anything else, but the damn thing just sounds so perfect on drums/snares its incredible. I will be experimenting using it as a send effect, but im kinda affraid of phasing.

What about switching the distance too? That would give the cleanest results probably.

yes, please make a "switch-version"!

with some eq libraries, i get some weird curves because of interpolation-errors. i would prefer switch-programs, because of these errors.
in most cases i don't need the "inbetween settings".

system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude pro x3, waveform 9 (tracktion), reaper
system 2: mac osx el capitan - reaper(64bit), waveform 9 (64bit), mixbus 6

both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB

Yes we gonna make the new switch programs, later this week. We think angle will behave better if there is no distance interpolation.

We also think Switch program will solve an issue with Aqua's XY pad.

We keep you in tune ...

Thanks for the ideas.

Dear Room Hunters,

Just a quick question, that others may benefit from.

I never buy software on a public computer i.e. internet cafe. Is it possible to buy and download later? And if later is allowed, how much later?

Owen ;)

Personally I'd have no use for that, 100% wet is how I build dedicated room mults. The RH concept integrates perfectly to my mix workflow.

Dear Owen,

It is possible to buy and download later, there is no restriction now. This may change with next website update.

We were thinking to send a mail to our registred users once manual + programs are updated.

We are waiting for new templates from giancarlo, then we'll make all program switched.

Thanks !

yeah i take that back anyway cause i had no problem using it as a send with max distance and angled away from the source. In fact its my go-to drum reverb.

So I've downloaded the demo program and for the life of me can not find where this thing is stored in the Nebula dir.

I've looked for about 30 solid minutes last week when I first got it and nothing.. I'm positive its fully downloaded and installed inthe correct directories but can not get it to show up.

Is it in its own dir or the REV???

Bizzare, but I'm going to check the demo out on another computer to see where if/it shows up.

Really would like to see the developers sort out the 'sorting out'.

Dunno about the demo, but the full library has its own category: RH

Also the new preset browser is in beta as we are typing, it should make life easier. I read it's kinda like the reaper fx chains, which work great.

These programs have been a revelation for me. I've never been a big fan of reverb (although Nebula reverbs changed this to some extent). Consequently my mixes have always been quite dry and lacked the soundstage positioning aspect. And I'm not saying that this has been completely solved (I'm still learning) but TOL has really brought me into the world of soundstage.

When mixing dry sources I have always found it difficult to place a source back in a mix so that you can still hear it but so that it isn't poking you in the eye. ITB reverbs and even nebulised hardware units never really clicked but the idea of positioning something in a space is so natural. For the most part when you pick the appropriate depth and angle for a source you don't even notice these programs so much. The source just sits properly in the mix. It's not like everything in the mix will need it either, the contrast between dry and room really give the mix some depth.

Anyway, just a quick note for people who are soundstage challenged like me. It may sound like an advertorial but even the demo program will allow you to check this out.

Bring on more real spaces please!

yeah more spaces..nice mics in a fairly dead studio would be nice, for a bit of air round stuff but not too strong reverb tail..
