I feel stupid, but what does the term "trough" mean in regards to an eq? I have been playing with this library to just figure out what these "trough" presets do, but could someone please tell me what it actually means??

I think "trough" is just the British term for "cut".

According to the UAD Helios plugin's manual "Through" - is a little switch turning the MidBoost knob into MidCut knob (sorry for my French))

But it is "trough", not "through". Is this the same? Maybe Henry will chime in soon.....

Yes, it's the mid switch for boost or cut. Here's info on the Vintage King hardware reissue: http://www.barryrudolph.com/mix/helios.html

Awesome. So now I ask; how are the "trough" presets different from the "cuts" presets? Are the "cuts" for low and high, and the "troughs" are specifically for mids? I am not at home near my DAW right now, so I apologize if just looking would answer that last question. Thanks for the link, though. That's great info. And regardless of how much I know about the technicalities of the eq, the library sounds great!

Yes.
And for creating some more confusion the "EQ CUT" switch on the real hardware unit means "bypass" :D

Hi Henry, congrats on your first commercial library. Helios, way to go man! Been waiting for this one.
One point of critique though, the preset structure is so qclone. I know you're a qclone user. It seems when I'm using the eq and try to decide between a 2 or 4 db boost I have to actually launch another Nebula instance. That's tedious. Is there a way you could merge the programs? Or is there some kinda workflow I'm missing here?
Thanks a lot for your work anyway.
