Yes exactly!
It will be more complex and dynamic than earlier hardware after next version.

...and then people will start to argue that they liked it better the way it sounded before...
Why not offer them the ideal fallback strategy right now ? ;-)
It's always the same whenever specs are changed. Why change the product people decided on in its current shape ? Except for stability issues obviously :P

I'm actually - partially - quite serious about that ! M7 "vintage" and M7 "modern"...

Mmmmmm Enrique said "after"... evidently with the Bricasti firmware being out there somewhere, perhaps that's not such a generous assessment! ;) We do tease...

Hopefully by the time we get serious about "Vintage M7" :P around here, we'll have some other toys to take the attention away from it! ;)

Owen ;)

Casey posted the following on GS re. V2 Bricasti eproms...

"On the week of July 12 (2010) we would like to send out 25 upgrades as a quick beta / sanity check on the code and upgrade process. General delivery will start 2 weeks later."

We are talking about the V2 update right? Where the M7 gets to sound more 'L*****n'...so it just means more varied presets...
I hope we will get multiple decay times for presets...If Michael can sample it with the same attention to detail as his commercial libraries we will be in luck! But we much have to pay for some of the costs? I'd be more than happy to do that if it means doing the job comprehensively - cant have Michael spending time and hosting for free....I assume the size will be pretty big...?
Maybe Casey will allow it billed as 'non-profit' as opposed to free?
