Sebatron VMP-2000e programs

Post by lordnielson » Wed Jul 07, 2010 8:45 pm

These are 7 kernel, 96khz programs of my Stereo Sebatron VMP-2000e with original 60s Philips MiniWatt ECC81 valves (tubes). They have the -30db input pad engaged which is the least driven mode of the unit (plenty though).
Like the original there's lots of bottom end. Counter with a little attenuation if needed.

Default state:

This program has the "air" switch engaged.

this program has the "bright" switch engaged which (as is the case with the original) adds a stupendous amount of top-end. Use with care :-)

Locut (high pass) engaged:

Thanks for share lordnielson. Could you upload to Nebula-programs.com? They use a torrent distribution that is more efficient that direct link downloads.

This is great I'd love to run some acoustic guitar things through this.

God Bless you sir, and thank you so much for your hard work!

That's primarily what I've been using it for. Takes some of the harshness out of my old U87 and saturates the transients nicely.

Like these programs a lot. Less subtle than some other preamps out there.

Why -30 setting though? Fully driven it must sound even nicer.

The drive pushes the eq curve of the preamp. With the Phillips valves it simply became too scooped. Midrange decimated at 0 db.
